proof that stacked discs are evil

Saw Season 5 of Smallville for $22 at Wal-Mart on an emergency run last night (yes, I check the DVD section on emergency runs...just in case) opened it just now, and disc 4 flopped right out.  Thankfully, it only flopped out into my lap, but still...

*hates stacked discs even more than flippers*

In other news, the next thing I watch will have NO ( Read more... )

My 14 disc Superman superset fortunately doesn't have stackers or flippers, one disc per side of a tray...but there's several loose rings, so some discs don't stay as well as they should, and the set arrived with several free discs.

14 disc sets suck with discs that fall out, because every time you pull one out, you may be pulling out five...

Wow... at that point, I'd say just invest in a set of thin DVD cases and make your own packaging.

I might put Superman 3 and 4 in the crappy trays. No one cares if they get scratched. ;)

Not sure how well standard, even thin, packages would fit in the shiny tin.

the problem with loving supporting characters best is that they tend to be expendable, and tend to start dying off halfway through.

I'd never bought a WB tv series set before so when I flipped open Supernatural, I was like: "Why the hell are these things stacked like that?" So I take it they do that for all their series? D:

They do now. Sadly, it's becoming a popular format...I guess it's cheaper. Its absolutely horrible...there've been several times when I've feared I'd have to break back DVD to get it out, it was in so tight,

I buy gigantic disc-storing albums and half my DVDs are in these things because of the stacked dvd boxes thing (I hate hate stacked or slanted cases).

I've thought about doing that, but I'm too worried about what's I'd DO with all the empty cases...

What are slanted cases?
