Thunderbolts: Desperate Measures #1

Uhm...so, yeah...had no idea the regular book was going in hiatus for a bit...as this is by Paul Jenkins, aka, The Speedball Butcherer and The Guy Who Down't Know Who Captain Marvel Is, I sheall do this similarly to how I did the first ep or two of EllisTolts.

I find Misfit cute in an annoying way. Which I don't think was the intent, either. Something probably got broken along the way with all the crossovers, Black Canary leaving, and all.

I'd say the TBolts special was a step up from Ellis' work. Better character work than the hammer Ellis uses.

Normal was deliberate. It wa a step up because it actually had some characterization bsides psycho and/or murderous. Still subpar from what's expected of Tbolts.

I don't think Misfit is meant to be annoying, but just cute and endearing. While she does have her moments, I mostly find her trite and irritating. I'm supposed to like her but not really given much reason to beyond her fangirly enthusiasm and now sucky life.
