Trick is the most awesome thing in doramas that doesn't involve swords. For me, that's saying a huge amount.

Oh, I have been waiting for this movie forever!!!! May I ask where you found it subtitled? Great summary, but I stopped reading it halfway through so I wouldn't spoil it if I ever actually get to see it 8-)

Well, having more Yamada and Ueda is always a delight, but somehow this movie wasn't quite as satisfying as the television show or even the first movie. Not sure what it was, maybe I just need to watch it again. Abe Hiroshi and Nakama Yukie work so well together--I think it was most apparent in the television special, they really seemed to be having a good time. Thanks again for the link, I did enjoy finally getting to see the movie!

I think the problem was the standard "end of franchise" problem: the focus was on wrapping everything up but still leaving room for more. Plus, it needed more of Yabe and Naoko's mom.
