Seconding everything you mention in the Chihayafuru paragraph. Also, Kuroko no Basuke, but maybe only S1 and the first half of S2, as it goes heavily into tournament games after that.

Not new per se, but the wonderful Natsume Yuujin-chou recently got a Season 5.
