I'm not familiar with most of the books in this post but I loved reading "The Secret History of the Mongol Queens"! Not to worry, there's more on the women as the book progresses. I think a lot of the focus on Genghis Khan in the beginning has to do with setting up context, particularly as most of the readers probably don't know beans about the Mongol Empire, other than, "Wasn't that started by some dude named Genghis Khan?" The book's material continues long after his death, so there is a lot of attention paid to both his female and male descendants.
