I'm going to be really bummed if something bad happens to Eyal. At the moment I ship him with Annie much more than I do Augie. And Haven ticked me off with Nathan getting all "I really mean it"-smoochy with Pain!Girl. Hmph.
Annie/Eyal is the only thing I've actually shipped on Covert Affairs, save for a bit of Annie/Jay at the beginning. I get why Annie/Auggie is popular, but it's never grabbed me.
Jordan/Nathan makes sense to me narratively-he's her Audrey, the only person she can safely touch, and now there's something he and only he can do for someone (though I suspect Audrey would be fine) and his trouble can actually help someone instead of just burdening him and regularly endangering his life-but I think they're pushing it too hard, too fast, and combining it with "Oh yeah, and Lucy was in love with the Colorado Kid" makes it come across as if they're trying to backtrack and throw in complications after the kiss last season, and reinforces fears that they'll just kill her off soon. I also think the actress overdoes it some, but she's gotten better with each episode.
I still miss Jay. I'm not so much worried about Eyal dying as I am about him "being more of a spy" and betraying Annie somehow. Despite the way their relationship has been built up. I spent half the episode convinced the entire thing was a test to see if Annie would follow orders or give him the info. I no longer understand the plot with Joan. They are obviously setting things up to make her husband suspect an affair. When I saw the pills, I thought she must be sick. Now I'm just annoyed.
And I adored the latest Elementary. I like lots of Watson. And Sherlock growing a bit. He really doesn't seem to think ahead much.
I'm still in denial over Jai, and have no idea what they're thinking with Joan. I suspected Annie was being tested too, but it seems a bit more likely Eyal is. (I guess when you take a vacation to invade Russia and rescue a foreign agent, it gets you attention.)
Sherlock is an overgrown child in a lot of ways. I'm starting to like him more than I expected to, though I'm still mostly watching for Lucy Liu.
Sherlock has basically zero impulse control, so it seemed pretty plausible to me that he would go confront a serial killer by himself. I mean. He purposefully crashed Joan's car in the first episode because he was upset. (And I think being in the presence of a drug he stopped using relatively recently unbalanced him a bit.)
Also, how great was the serial killing secretary in this episode? NOBODY EVER NOTICES THE SECRETARY. ...but man how many serial killers are they going to have on this show?
Ugh, I'm so afraid they'll kill Eyal and/or make him lose his job so he no longer has an excuse to be in Annie's life. (It seems like the writers are determined to rid Annie + Auggie of any potential romantic interests but one another.) The Joan plot makes no sense and is kind of irritating. I mean, it's the first genuine storyline she's had all year that hasn't revolved around Arthur or Annie or someone else and THIS is what they come up with? And I miss Jai :(
I LOVED the secretary part and how she called him on his lack of foresight. And yeah, not remotely SURPRISED he went off alone twice with someone he thought was a serial killer, just shaking my head at it. (Also, in the pilot, didn't he crash Joan's car into the killers so that he'd be able to get the killer at the police station or some such?)
I suspect we're going to have lots of serial killers, and I'm not a huge fan of them...
