Arrow 1.2: So, Oliver appears to have spent a good chunk of the last 5 years practicing his delivery of "YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY." No, really, he seems very proud of it.

I'm going to watch every week hoping that the new episode will be the one where Laurel starts to become Black Canary, even though I know it will be futile for quite some time.

Covert Affairs return was surprisingly fast. Wonder if it has something to do with the odd delay with Psych. The part with Joan was weird - first the pills and then after the rescue when she asked why they didn't call her & they were both like, "we did! A dozen times!"

I liked Lancelot a lot &, like you, I really hope he isn't dead. I did feel like he was channeling Tuvok (from Star Trek Voyager) at times. That's a great theory for why an area survived the curse. Though I still don't get why Cora seems fully capable of getting around now but couldn't back when Regina "exiled" her. Unless the curse itself did the unlocking. As for the Storybrook part - why the heck would Charming retrieve Henry from Regina's secret vault & NOT look around?! It's a huge stretch for me to believe Regina told him where to find Henry in the first place, let alone let him in such a place and him express no interest whatsoever to know what's there?!

I'm pretty sure Rumples had Regina send Cora to Wonderland, and she regained power there? Jefferson was also stuck in Wonderland yet ended up in Storybook, so there has to be something there. Another thing about the curse is that Mulan knew both what caused the curse and how long time was frozen, which means someone has to have a lot of awareness about what's going on and what happened.

I kept expecting Regina to show up and send them away so she could "clean uP" or whatever. Regina's role this week felt a bit odd, tbh.

@ Revolution
I like it that they didn't go down the "I lost my wife and my son and that's the reason why I'm the way I am" road.

I have to rewatch PoI, because I was so tired, but I love it so much how they manage to combine a more episodic approach with so many ongoing plotlines.
And I realised that they're totally the Famous Five, now that they have Bear. *lol*

Yeah, I'm definitely glad they didn't go that path with Neville. I'm just surprised they didn't.

In your opinion is the 80% WOC buddy cops worth the creepy no-ness of Vincent? Because every time I hear about the WOC buddy cops I want to watch the show but then I hear about Vincent being a creepy stalker who makes Catherine responsible for not provoking his anger. I pine for the buddy cop adventures of WOC detectives.

Yes. With Vincent, they can't seem to decide if he's just a decent guy who got dealt a sucky hand, or a dangerous and mysterious "bad boy."

You're right about Lancelot being black causing people pain. I read comments on the Once FB page for the episode and I read maybe 15 and at least three were "I'm not racist BUT" comments. Urgh. It was so hard not to respond but you know it's FB so I decided not to waste my energy. I was sad they killed him off and that was a big reason for me too.

I love the idea that Snow cares about Regina. Also I totally want Cora to assume Emma/Regina were once together and that's what's up with the weird co-parenting situation. I know it won't happen but yeah. :p

I saw the AAAAAGONIES on tumblr, but I imagine they were everywhere. Given that it's Cora saying Lancelot is dead, I think there's a high probability that she was lying. The only person I'd trust less is Rumples.

Snow is the only one (aside from Rumples, who made sure Regina never had much of a chance) who knew Regina when she was a desperate young woman trying to escape her mother and was on the receiving end of Cora at least once (maybe more? Who knows when Cora made it back). So even if she does hate Regina now, i'm sure she still sees the Regina she first knew and feels compassion for her.

People complain about racial realism in a show about fairy tales stuck in Maine?

Sure, if they were adapting Chretien de Troyes, I'd raise an eyebrow if Lancelot was Black since chances of a Breton nobleman being anything but lily-white were zero. But in OUAT? You are kidding. They could make any of the characters any color they want and it would fit. *rolls eyes* The cast doesn't have to be Caucasian.

Yup. There were even a few essays about it on tumblr. I imagine them holding hands and maybe crying with the Sherlock Holmes fans who are still having agonies over Lucy Liu playing Watson.
