Haven 3.1-3.2: So, uhm, Eric Balfour is, naturally, allowed to do whatever he wants to with his hair (Though I'm not sure the long hair actually suits him. It might grow on me, though.), but couldn't they have done something so that Duke didn't suddenly have radically different hair in the same scene that we left off with last season?

Ugh, Haven writers...I will not invest in this new female character as she will likely be dead/disappear in a few episodes and no thank you. Also...YES to not creating a triangle or making Duke and Audrey enemies. I was legit surprised by how much I ended up liking their friendship and I don't want it to go away via mythology or triangle shenanigans.

Agreed with pretty much everything re: Revolution. Though I hope Monroe is not Charlie's father. I could handle Miles being the dad because he's already part of Charlie's life thus she's already in danger via their connection but switching that to Monroe...No, she'd be in way too much danger and there'd be no more adventures. Plus I don't want some reveal that Elizabeth Mitchell hooked up with all three of them (her reaction to Monroe mentioning Miles made me pretty certain there was something there once upon a time.)

If Charlie isn't biologically Ben's, I just hope that it's because Rachel was in a relationship before she and Ben got together and Ben adopted her. The only appeal making her be Monroe's daughter holds is the idea of his daughter leading the fight against him. The way Monroe was talking about "the old days," though, makes me wonder if Rachel was a soldier at some point and met Ben through Miles.

Cool icon. LOVE Nora.

I don't want Charlie to be anyone else's because I loathe that whole 'surprise different dad' thing (Is that I thing? IDK my brain isn't working right now) but if she has to be either Miles' or Monroe's...idk...It's definitely more interesting if she's Monroe's for the reasons you pointed out but I'd prefer her to be Miles' simply because I have this head-canon where Miles + Rachel were together before Rachel met Ben. I totes think she met Ben through Miles but I never thought of the soldier angle. That could be interesting.

The icon is from a promo pic for ep 3 (I don't think it's spoilery, since Nora joined up with them in her first scene, pretty much. And I like how Nora looks like she's covering Charlie.) There are several Charlie/Nora promo pics, one of which looks like Nora is showing/teach Charlie about some of her weapons. She's in at least the next 2 episodes, possibly more. (Also, I completely didn't realize she was Auggie's therapist in Covert Affairs until I looked it up. I mean, partly because of that mental block where you don't expect to see someone somewhere because you think they're going to be showing up somewhere else, but she really does look and act very different in the two roles.)

I don't want Charlie to be anyone but Ben's either, really, I just...suspect she will be.

I'm hoping Psychologist!Woman is the writers' response to everyone bitching about the disappearances of All Women Who Are Not Audrey and that she'll stay. And I love Duke and Audrey being buds, especially because otherwise she really has no friends. Or no friends-without-sexual-tension, anyway. Also, I'm very intrigued by Nathan getting the tattoo (and kudos to the makeup people for making it truly look new). Maybe the dark side will actually seduce him for a while.

I'm hoping you're right about the psychologist lady.

Nathan talked about getting the tattoo and i was all "the approved list, really?" Though I'm hoping that he wants to actually find out why and determine if Duke really needs it. But that boy just has SO many Duke-related issues, and some of it has to be from adulthood.

Audrey has Vince and Dave? Though they're somewhat on the outs.

I think Vince and Dave are more like slightly (OK, not so slightly) weird uncles than friends. She can't just hang with them and have a beer, you know?

Weird uncles who give her fashion advice, at that.

I didn't see Henson as glammed-up. One of her three? four? outfits didn't include the oft-worn vest, and she had her hair loose with that same outfit. But other than that, it looked the same. Her makeup was the same, the outfit was the same minus the vest...

That was an awesome season premiere, which pleases me ever so much. I really don't have anything to say about it other than "Yay! Good!" Heh.

Hmm..it looked to me like they had more hairspray and..."floof?" (I have no idea what the word I'm reaching for here is) and that she was wearing more makeup than I remember, but I suspect you've rewatched it more than I have.

I thought it was a really good return!
