This is the fifth of Andrews' Kate Daniels books, and book 5 is when I'm used to even the good fantasy series to start heading south. Thankfully, that is not the case with these books. Yay! Someone else on my flist has read these books. Thank you for summing up why I like Kate/Curran when I have a real hard time with alpha male characters usually.

And also word to pretty much everything else.

I also continue to love Kate's relationships with Julie and Andrea. Hurrah for female relationship that are (mostly) healthy and functional!

ANd FYI, I had to grab my copy to look up Andrea's name (it's been awhile since I read it) and I found $11 inside. So thanks for that.

And yeah...it's weird, I love Andrea but never remember to mention her at all when I talk about the show.

I *still* have a really hard time with Curran and tend to dislike him as a character, but I do enjoy reading this series a lot and the anti-rape culture speech as performed by Kate was one of my personal highlights of the books ( ... )
