I read the prologue (prequel?) volume of Dogs a while back, enjoyed it despite not exactly understanding everything that was going on, got the rest of what was out, and the got distracted by something else. (This is how you end up with a backlog that would take years to read through, just FYI. Well, that and booksales.)

I bought the prequel, mainly because there is apparently an Old Guy involved. But I didn't read it yet.

Sounds like I might want to read the other ones first though, when I can afford them.

Naah, read the prequel first. You get a bunch of origins, and the old guy gets his own story.

Mihai is awesome.

There's also a 4-episode OVA -- the animation quality is so-so, but they got some top-notch seiyuu. Mihai's voice actor is the guy who did Batou in Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

IA w/megan, read the prequel first. Alas, the main series has much less old guy than the prequel. Which is a crying shame, because old guy is awesome. Also hot. Really hot.

Dogs is the type of manga that likes being confusing for as long as possible. B( It does start to sort of make sense the further you go though. Sort of.

I have the prequel in my backlog. Based on this post, I'm going to have to break it out and put it into the 'to be read' pile.

At a certain level, it’s like Kazuya Minekura binged on Kaori Yuki’s entire backlog and then created this. Possibly while drunk.

Wow. Yep. That's...pretty much it. xD

You have given me the perfect excuse to finally get around to uploading the Badou icon I made. (I love that boy, he's such the Gojyo-ish buttmonkey of the story...which makes for some great cognitive dissonance watching the OVA, since his voice actor is Ishida Akira.)

Yes, and while listening to industrial music at eardrum-explodiating volumes. Did you catch the theme naming?

But you forgot to mention the creepy little killer twins in their bunny outfits! Or [SPOILER REDACTED] in her sharp tailored suits, who could be Integra's brunette evil twin!

I'm really enjoying this one a great deal -- I think this is the most fun I've had with a new-ish seinen title since Black Lagoon. BTW, it's up to 4 volumes in English now (not counting the unnumbered prequel), and V.5 is out next week -- there's some further explanation of what's going on in V.4, and I expect 5 will probably dish out a little more...

Well, I figured there should be a few unfathomable-unless-you-read-it things to discover...
