Give me a character* I play/write/like/etc. and I'll tell you:

A) My OTP
B) The runner up
C) The anti-ship
D) My unpopular fannish opinion on said character
E) One person he/she never fell in love with, and why

*Or show. Err...specify which in a canon named after a character.

A) I don't actually ship her with anyone and highly doubt the show will ever give her a love interest. I am, however, fond of the idea of onesided Bonnie/Damon, exclusively in the context of him liking/wanting to prove himself to her and her hating his guts. And preferably having someone far superior to choose over him.
B) I kinda wish I could ship her with Caroline sometimes.
C) Reciprocated Bonnie/Damon. (This may be a touch hypocritical of me...)
D) Bonnie's hardcore anti-vampire stance is fabulous. I'm glad she isn't forgiving Caroline killing that guy just because Caroline'ds her friend (though I do want them to work thought their problems and fight Damon crime together) and that, though I think she still sees Stefan as a friend, she can't quite be comfortable around him. Not deactivating the antivampire thingie was the smartest thing anyone on the show has done. I wish Elena hadn't stopped her in 2.2, even though I think she would have regfretted it later, since Caroline's becoming a vampire is pretty much the only bad ( ... )

Me too on B.

I WILL SAY NOTHING except that I suspect you will very much like a few bits.

I'm not sure if this qualifies, but how about Twilight? I'm interested to know what pairing comes across as . . . well . . . least stupid.

Keeping in mind that I've only read the one book, and it's the one that features Edward and the Cullen's the least:

A) Alice/Bella.
B) Rosalie/Emmett and Alice/Jasper both show signs of being pairings I'd typically like, but weren't around enough for me to be sure.
C) Jacob/Bella. It has the same problems as Edward/Bella, if not to the same extreme, but he also openly and selfrighteously judges her.
D) Bella has agency. Jacob is no better than Edward, and may actually be worse.
E) Mike (I think that was his name?) never had a chance with Bella because he's human he's the kind of person who either assumes that everyone will like him, or would after he tried to charm him, and Bella's depressive tendencies make her gravitate towards people with low self-esteem.

I had a very slight preference for Jacob/Bella during book two (and ONLY during book two, as Jacob becomes much worse in book three), if only because he and Bella at least had actual conversations and seemed to have a few things in common. Well, it's not really a "prefrence" as it is a "lesser of two evils". As controlling and emotionally manipulative as Jacob can get, it can be partially blamed on the fact that he's a hormonal teenaged boy, whereas Edward is like a hundred years old and should clearly have matured beyond the "YOU ARE MY WOMAN. I HAVE TO CONTROL AND PROTECT YOU FOREVER" thing. Especially given the women in their lives (Edward has Alice, who SHOULD be a shining example to him of the fact that women have their own goals and desires and are not to be controlled, Jacob has... Emily?). Also, Bella is MUCH more likely to stand up to Jacob and call him on his faults than she is to Edward ( ... )

I wish I could say something other than ASOIAF but I don't know what else we have in common (though I spy Gargoyles on your interests list, if that is better go with that one).

There's also Mad Men, which I'm current with DVD releases of as of...uhm...2 weeks ago? I just haven't posted since I watched the first season. There aren't really any pairings I like romantically, though. So, Gargoyles it is.

1. Elisa/Goliath
2. Fox/Xanatos

(These are eligible to switch places at any point.)

3. Demona/Xanatos, maybe? There was kinda the threat of that due to the voice actors, I think? But I loved their relationship and how it was so easy (and believable) for them to run the gamut between allies and antagonists throughout the series.
4. You know, I'm not sure I've ever seen any popularly voiced opinions on the series that I disagree with? Maybe because it's older. I don't remember thinking the last season was as bad as everyone else though.
5. You know, I'm pretty sure Puck would never ever romantically love someone. He'd probably think it was boring and trite.

I don't think I'd want a Puck pairing, he's just best as is IMO. I did really like Fox/Xanatos and agreed on Xanatos' antagonism with, well everyone else really, lol. Man I miss Gargoyles.

1. Kyoko/Ren
2. Kyoko/Moko
3. Reino/Kyoko
4. I haven't interacted a lot with the fandom at large a lot, so I don't know of any.
5. Reino. I've seen some people say that she was drawn to his badboyness, but I don't see that at all. I think she was overwhelmed by how he approached her, but it never intrigued or appealed to her.

I'm not sure I can do past the first (Kate/Curran) on this one, if you want another.

ah, that's alright--I should have been clearer that I meant the series, not the character...*painkillers make brain functions woozy*(
