there is no JE in this drama at all. The one you're referring to is Mizobata Junpei, who is repped by Evergreen. He and Yusuke Yamamoto are the new breed of idol/actors that are encroaching on the JE turf, and I couldn't be happier.
Ah. He did have less of the "look at my pretty littleboyishness" feel than most JE boys have, but still had a bit of that feel. (Didn't mind hi, but...)
I loved this drama. It sucked me in, and it was a mistake to watch the 10th episode while I was on a train as I was having to keep my flailing to a minimum so I wouldn't get strange looks from the other passengers. I've been slowing watching it again, this time with my mother, and she's been enjoying it, too. I love the opening credits, too. So pretty...
(I may take some icons, and I'll definitely credit you.)
We had pretty much the same reaction to this series, although it sounds like you enjoyed Katagiri more than I did (I didn't dislike him, but he didn't leave much of an impression on me as a character).
I haven't been able to find much of Amami Yuki's work. I'm planning to check out Enka no Joou once I wrap up Around 40. Top Caster and Rikon Bengoshi haven't been subbed (to my knowledge), which surprises and disappoints me.
I enjoy rolling my eyes at angstmuffins when the text agrees that eyes need to be rolled at them, but enjoy them considerably less when the text wallowes in their angst and tragedy.
Katagiri's angst tied into a trope that I despise, so I couldn't enjoy the way the show dealt with his angst. This is my first time seeing the actor, so I didn't have any preexisting warm and fuzzies for him. I did like him more towards the end of the series--the scene where Osawa is shocked! shocked! by what everyone is eating was too cute for words.
I'm very sad that the lawyer one has no subs.
Me too! Since it was mentioned in BOSS, I guess I assumed that someone would have subbed it, too.
I've found the RAW for season 1, but all my Googling has been able to discover is other people asking about subs.
Oh, I HATE that trope and hated that storyline from his perspective. Like, I totally get why he feels guilty, and would worry if he didn't? But he didn't exactly have many options, and everything about the situation said that what he did was as right a thing to do as there could be. I get why he has angst over it and don't have problems with the angst itself, but I hate how they handled it and portrayed the situation. And the other guy was a complete idiot. I mean, seriously, what was he thinking? The only one of the three I could really sympathize with was the killer, and that was largely because she wasn't there to see how it went down, so I could get why it made her go off the deep end, even though she did very much need to be stopped.
Also, thanks to your comment I'm imagining the entire team wrestling Kimoto into the dress (probably while Osawa guards the door and yells at everyone) and it's BEAUTIFUL.
