Ah, parents. What a mixed inheritance we get from them! Dad gave me blue eyes, nearly-flat feet, and an appreciation for silliness as a panacea for all that ails you :-). Love of cats and books came from both parents!
We're having a Hallowe'en decoration competition at work. Two of the other librarians and I have great ambitions in this direction ;-). (I may have gone slightly mad buying cheap but cool things.)

You've got my sympathies on your nasal passages - the past few weeks I've been sleeping with my face practically glued to my air purifier so I can make it through the night without problems. *sigh* Surgery would help but that won't be for a while...
