Well, if you read Senrid, don't forget to follow it up with A Stranger to Command, so you have the whole lead-up to Crown Duel published so far.

Inda and the follow-ups there are set 800 years before that time line, so they can be read seperately.

Or you could get the YA CJ's First and Second Notebook ^^.

I forgot to mention at least one character explored in CJ's First and Second Notebook shows up as a major side character in Senrid. You'll recognise her when she shows up, she's so different from the others.

I wonder if young women searching for their fathers is a trend that’s catching on?

A very popular Taiwanese series of novels in the mid-nineties starts off with this premise, though the young woman in question later turns out to be the 2nd major character (the 1st MC is mistaken by everyone as the real daughter, which starts the story going). I'm curious though, if this trend you've seen involves the father-searcher disguising herself as a man, which should be an interesting topic in itself.
