Rectober 2015: Day 13 - Maybe I'm Not in This Fandom, But the Fics Are AwesomeIt took me a while to compile and post this list, because I found out I actually don't read as many HP fics as I thought. I usually just check out some tags for my main ships and that's it. That was why making this list was a great challenge. It was fun

I don't think I could read anything where I'm not in the fandom, aka not knowing the characters whatsoever (because to me that's what 'not in the fandom' means) but I have friends that like fell in love with "The Flash" through reading fanfiction and only then starting to watch, so there's that :D

I guess "not in the fandom" can mean a lot of things XD In this specific case I meant that I have read the Harry Potter books and I know all the characters, but it's just not my fandom. I don't interact with it, I'm not very interested in it, I only sometimes read fics and that's it.

But there are some fandoms I'm actually not in, as in I haven't seen/read them, but read fics for anyway. For instance, I have read fics for Babylon 5 before I have seen the show, and the fics were what inspired me to watch it in the first place.
