Rectober 2015: Day 12 - Weres and Shapeshifters!
Here is a fun category. I didn't make compiling this list easy for myself and in case of fics I tried to avoid fandoms in which werewolves exist, unless it included a non-werecreature being a werecreature (so, yeah, there is only one Teen Wolf fic *lol*). Here is a list of fics I have a soft spot for and a couple of other fanworks (but I focused on fics). On the list there are 22 fics, 5+ fanart and 5 fanmixes, for 15 fandoms in total.
BATTLE CREEK
1. Title: The Werewolf of Battle Creek

Why I loved it: I have a ridiculous soft spot for this fic. It's actually the first fic I've read for this fandom and I've read it before I watched the show. Imagine how fun that was *lol* But yeah, I did find it entertaining, and while some things I would have imagined differently now that I have seen the show, I like how the whole team works here and how badass Russ is.
BLADE/FAST FIVE

When Zoe has a nightmare he’ll curl up in bed with her, a giant, furry sentinel guarding her from the evils of the world.
Then everything changes again when they move into the Honeycomb Hideout.
Why I loved it: Hannibal and Vince are Werejaguars (and brothers) and Drake and Carter are vampires. It's all kinds of awesome, really. I love how proective of Zoe Hannibal and Drake are, I like Vince's interactions with Hannibal and Drake, it's a really fun fic overall. And because of it I kind of got attached to the idea of Hannibal and Vince being brothers. Also, there's not enough fics that focus on Vince.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
3. Title: When the Moon (Is Round and Full)

Why I loved it: Rosa is absolutely badass, as always, and she's a werewolf. She and Gina give Amy cooking lessons (and Gina is trolling them), Amy is Amy and I love that the fic also includes Rosa's friendship with Jake and so many pack feels. It's fun. I love Rosa/Amy.

Why I loved it: I really, really want to hug Jensen and Cougs after reading this fic. The team finds out that Cougar is Jensen's mate, Clay is Jensen's alpha, Jesen has to stay shifted for a while and it's really fun to read.

And that's just the beginning.
Why I loved it: This one is so good! I love it. I love this blend of fandoms so much. Cougar is a shifter, Jensen is Drake's child, Roque betrayed the team, Hannibal works with Drake, Jensen and Cougar are soulmates, Drake is a bit flustrated around Hannibal, I love the interactions between Jake, Cougar, Hannibal and Drake, and the fic is so much fun!
MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

Why I loved it: I'm not into the whole A/B/O side of werewolf!AUs and I avoid them, but I was promised that this one is differnt, so I gave it a try. I like this fic. Kate is an alpha puppy and Clint's niece, and Clint is human, which means he can't take care of her because he wouldn't be able to properly control an alpha wolf. He agrees for the Bite to not lose Kate. And then he meets Phil, an alpha who seems to be drawn to Clint and Kate. They discuss the situation, a few things are revealed and Oh, this fic. I like how protective Clint is of Kate, and how later Phil becomes protective of Clint and Kate.

Why I loved it: This is series of four fics focusing on Maria Hill, her friendships, relationship, being a velociraptor shapeshifter and I love it to pieces. I mean, how many fics are there about dinosaur shapeshifters? It's awesome. Maria is awesome. And Maria/Darcy is awesome. I also loe Maria's interactions with Phil and Nick.
10. Title: Rehearsals and Running Dates

Luckily, he can let his other self run free. It's a great form of stress-release.
Why I loved it: Phil is really invested in Drama Club, Clint tries very hard to help and Phil and Clint end up spending a lot of time together without actually knowing it. Also, Clint is a Golden Retriever and there are feels. Especially when Phil and Clint talk. So many feelings.
11. Title: The Strength of the Wolf (WARNING - WIP)

Why I loved it: Clint is hiding from S.H.I.E.L.D. that he's a werewolf, because he's afraid. When Phil finds out, Clint is surprised by his reaction. I love this fic, and even if it's a WIP, I love every single part that was written so far. I have a feeling this is one of my favourite werewolf!AUs ever. Phil and Clint are amazing, I want to hug them both, I love CLint visiting Phil's family, I really, really enjoy this one. I hope there was more of this fic.

A beautiful silver and black timberwolf, the largest Clint had seen, sat on its haunches and tilted its head as it looked Clint over with big blue eyes.
“Okay,” Clint said. He slowly stepped back, keeping careful watch on the animal. “I’m no danger to you. Just head on off on your wolfy way.”
The wolf yipped and shook its head as if disagreeing with Clint.
A growl issued from the wolf’s throat; Clint frozen as moonlight reflected off those eyes that saw everything. The wolf walked back until Clint could see the grey tips of its ears flick forward and back. With a quick bark, it turned and loped South, pausing to look back at Clint.
“I must be fucking crazy,” Clint mumbled to himself. “This isn’t an episode of Lassie; Timmy’s not down the well.”
Why I loved it:This is so, so good! I love this fic to pieces. Clint starts a new job and is not prepared to get involved into everything that waits for him in the town where he works. He tried to do his job as well as he can, but strange things keep happpening, like wold animals behaving like they understood him. And then he finds out that majority of people in the town are shapeshifters and he has to solve a mystery related to that. It's so good. I like how the author established all the background, how many characters appear (yay for the Young Avengers team!), I like how CLint and Phil's relationship develop... it's lovely, really.

It's lovely. Newt has to learn so much and Hermann is there for him... aw, those two. And there are so many pop culture references! I really like it.

Why I loved it: Chuck teaches Raleigh shapeshifting and it's one of the best things ever. Seriously. There is so much snark and awkwardness going on in here and it's really fun. Raleigh ends up being friends with Max, Chuck is awkward and very protective of Raleigh, there is cuddling and so much sarcasm. It's awesome!

Why I loved it: Chekov gets bitten and he gets support from Uhura and McCoy. It's lovely. I like the Family of Choice trope a lot, I like how McCoy and Uhura help Chekov and how McCoy talks to him. McCoy talking about his backstory is very emotional.

Why I loved it: I have a huge soft spot for fox!Stiles. He's adorable. And Derek changes into an actual wolf. Fox!Stiles is very persistent, Derek ends up caring about him and then Stiles changes into a human and has to learn how living as a human works. And all the scenes between Stiles and the Sheriff made me emotional. And I want to hug Isaac. So, so many emotions.

Why I loved it: Neal accidentaly finds out that Peter is a werewolf and considers him to be a part of his pack. There are a lof of feelings. I also love the friendship between Peter, Neal and Diana (who is also a werewolf).

Why I loved it: This one is so good! I love it. I love this blend of fandoms so much. Cougar is a shifter, Jensen is Drake's child, Roque betrayed the team, Hannibal works with Drake, Jensen and Cougar are soulmates, Drake is a bit flustrated around Hannibal, I love the interactions between Jake, Cougar, Hannibal and Drake, and the fic is so much fun!

Why I loved it: I'm not into the whole A/B/O side of werewolf!AUs and I avoid them, but I was promised that this one is differnt, so I gave it a try. I like this fic. Kate is an alpha puppy and Clint's niece, and Clint is human, which means he can't take care of her because he wouldn't be able to properly control an alpha wolf. He agrees for the Bite to not lose Kate. And then he meets Phil, an alpha who seems to be drawn to Clint and Kate. They discuss the situation, a few things are revealed and Oh, this fic. I like how protective Clint is of Kate, and how later Phil becomes protective of Clint and Kate.

I mean, how many fics are there about dinosaur shapeshifters? It's awesome. Maria is awesome. And Maria/Darcy is awesome. I also loe Maria's interactions with Phil and Nick.

I love this fic, and even if it's a WIP, I love every single part that was written so far. I have a feeling this is one of my favourite werewolf!AUs ever. Phil and Clint are amazing, I want to hug them both, I love CLint visiting Phil's family, I really, really enjoy this one. I hope there was more of this fic.

A growl issued from the wolf’s throat; Clint frozen as moonlight reflected off those eyes that saw everything. The wolf walked back until Clint could see the grey tips of its ears flick forward and back. With a quick bark, it turned and loped South, pausing to look back at Clint.
“I must be fucking crazy,” Clint mumbled to himself. “This isn’t an episode of Lassie; Timmy’s not down the well.”
Why I loved it:This is so, so good! I love this fic to pieces. Clint starts a new job and is not prepared to get involved into everything that waits for him in the town where he works. He tried to do his job as well as he can, but strange things keep happpening, like wold animals behaving like they understood him. And then he finds out that majority of people in the town are shapeshifters and he has to solve a mystery related to that. It's so good. I like how the author established all the background, how many characters appear (yay for the Young Avengers team!), I like how CLint and Phil's relationship develop... it's lovely, really.
