Superlatives to come.

Woowhoo! Everyone voted!

I am happy to report that we had 100% voter turnout on the CD game!! I finally got the final numbers in. You get the honor of posting them to the interwebs at your leisure. Interesting commentary where applicable below:

Best Title

1. Allison and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Mix (Ali)

2. I'm Joey Lawrence and I Approved This Mix (Cristin)

3. Casualties of Endless Repeat (Chandra)

The top three were clear leaders but it was a close race-3rd to 1st place only represented a span of 3 points. It was anyone’s game (well, anyone out of these three CDs) and Ali pulled it out!

Best Cover

1. My Fake Autobiography (Maggie)

2. Not My Best Effort (Katie)

3. The World in a Drop of Water (Clarice)

Maggie ran away with this one in the most decisive victory we had-she earned over 40% of available votes. The majority of voters ranked the CDs in this exact order.

Best Application of a Theme

1. I'm Joey Lawrence and I Approved This Mix (Cristin)

2. Cowboy Junk (Jeremy)

3. Faster, Higher, Stronger (Sara)

3. Crazy Love, GOP Style (Aliya)

4. Casualties of Endless Repeat (Chandra)

5. Songs You Can't Sing Along To (Dan)

This category gets 6 medalists due to the photo finish-1st place was an easy victory (22% of the votes to Cristin) and 2nd place came in at 15%, but the CDs tying for 3rd and the 4th and 5th place finishers were just one point apart (or, in the case of the tie, no points apart, as that is how ties work).

Best Overall

1. Dear CD Game... (Marisa)

2. Not My Best Effort (Katie)

2. Summer Birthdays (Jesse)

2. Annie's CD Feels Entitled (Annie)

3. My Fake Autobiography (Maggie)

4. Songs You Can't Sing Along To (Dan)

4. Allison and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Mix (Ali)

Another decisive victory (this time to Marisa with 18% of votes in a very far flung category) followed by a hot mess of exact ties and narrow triumphs. It’s well worth noting that this is the only category where EVERY CD received votes, showing how much everyone’s work was appreciated by the rest of the field. Awww. We! Are! Family! I got all my CDs with me!
