I apologize in advance, but I must vent.

Why, oh WHY does Despicable Me get it's own ride at a major theme park, and I can't even find any Megamind Merchandise? Here I am, just begging to throw my money at the franchise, and another, for all commercial intents and purposes similar movie is sucking money out of someone else's budget to manifest as an ( Read more... )

Yeah, doesn't DreamWorks want our money? What's wrong with them? Guess I'm also in the mood for a bit of venting.

Despicable Me isn't made by DreamWorks with an poor marketing-strategy, therefore it had a real chance to become successful, I guess .__.

But don't be jealous. Let them have a ride on the theme-park. We still have the better movie.

I'm glad that there's a ComicCon in Germany soon. I will draw Minion and Megamind in every ConHon which enters the location!

Personally, I can't stand the Universal type rides, where you're in a 'moving' vehicle, and you're looking at a video screen. They make me nauseous.

Give me Disney any day.

It's not that Despicable Me is better -- I have always maintained that both are good movies and try not to encourage crossover plotbunnies over rivalries -- but that Despicable Me was made by a studio that realizes those who enjoyed the film will be willing to hand over money for more awesome.

Unlike Dreamworks.
