Yeah! My first drawing after a long time

Jan 15, 2012 22:04

I decided, that my New Year´s resolution for 2012 is to restart drawing. Especially characters. I haven´t done this for years, so I´m pretty much out of practice. And always beeing  displeased with my own work, I needed some time until I was satisfied enough, to upload it. It´s only three sketches of Megamind, but I wanted them to be good (..in ( Read more... )

I love the way you draw his collarbone. He rest of him looks incredible as well, but I keep finding my eyes drawn toward that sexy clavicle. lol. It's so good to see you drawing again!

Now that you mention it, the collarbone does look pretty sexy.
I shall not look at collarbones the same way again. :)

Wow, that is really impressive. Nice job! Yeah, you're right, he is rather skinny, but I would say lanky.

Good luck with your resolution to get back into drawing. Looking forward to seeing what else you can do.

I think "lanky" is a better word. I was thinking about those underfeeded looking rock stars of the 1960´s/70´s.
I think, I´m going to do the traditional arts. I don´t get along so well with graphic programs.

THERE'S our sexy Megs! Looks like he's satisfied with his appearance after he checks out his bicep. Tee hee. If you are in the mood for constructive criticism, his head could be a little bigger and not quite as round-he has a rather unique shape to his head that's not quite human.

I like the attention you paid to his eyebrows, too, since many people forget that they're widest at the far corners of his eyes, rather than over his nose. I love how Dreamworks' characters always make extensive use of their characters' eyebrows to show their emotions.

I think I like the first one best-I imagine he's looking right at Roxanne, about to go make love to her. Oooo so hot...

You´re right with his head. It´s a bit stupid, I realized not until I was watching the scanned picture again. And then it was already too late...well doesn´t matter. I´ll make the head bigger in my next picture. Aw, the eyebrows, thanks, I´m pretty satisfied with the eybrows.
Actually, I was thinking about Megamind observing himself in the mirror and comparing himself with Metro Man (the one with the biceps), doubting beeing the right person to be the defender of Metro City. And later he becomes more self-confident finding himself pretty sexy.

*blubbers like an idiot* I love this!

image on the left, "You're no Metro Man..."

bottom image, "But brains beat brawn!"

I'm including this when I update my current chapter in "My Better Half"! LOVE IT!
