Of course, then she has to decide what to do about it. She can't just do nothing; for all that she attempts to kill him on at least a weekly basis, she considers Wayne to be a... Well. Friend is perhaps the wrong word. Friendly rival? There's definitely some level of feeling there, otherwise she'd... well, she'd put more effort into killing him, to be perfectly frank. As it is, her inventions are designed to test his weaknesses, occasionally his problem-solving skills, but never to actually do him any lasting damage. After all, where would the game be left if the hero died?
She ca--she has an interest in making sure Metro Man survives, so she has to help this little Wayne. With this decision in mind, Megamind makes for the reception desk, ignoring the staff that are looking anxiously at a chair. Or, rather, something under the chair ( ... )

But the moment passes and he recalls that, blue or not, she's still a stranger, and strangers are bad. His eyes snap shut once more and he curls up further, trying to make himself as small as possible under the chair.
At least he's past the worse of his panic attack now, and his tremors are merely from natural fright instead of terror.))

Just as she's getting her hopes up, though, he shuts down again and her smile falters and fades, leaving a sense of panic. What the hell is she supposed to do, if she's meant to do anything at all? Roxanne would know what to do here, or even Minion, but her? She hasn't the faintest idea where to so much as start.
Remembering the way her uncles used to act when she was a kid, Megamind decides to try brash humor first. It could work, right?]

It's so hard to understand some of what she's saying, but he remembers very well that one of the most-- invasive-- tests was when They were trying to find out what would harm him, what would damage him.
This blue person is an unknown, a stranger. Maybe she's found something that actually will.))
