Am I the only person who is really bothered by the fact that those actually, um, aren't mice in Coraline, they're gerbils?

I think they tried to be mice, but gave them long tails so they could do things like spell her name. *shrugs* It never bothered me. I was too distracted by the awesome that was the animation.

But but but... they're gerbils. D: D:

::is really bothered by things like this::

Which is odd, because I'm not bothered by the biggest change they made, the addition of Wybie. Well, I am sort of annoyed that they seemed to have added him specifically so he could save her at the end because of course she couldn't come up with a brilliant plan to defeat the other mother once and for all on her own because that would mean girls are capable of protecting themselves and even defeating bad guys without a big, strong man (or boy) to help them and we just can't have that, now can we?

But... I'm not annoyed that they added him, because the beginning was slow enough (for me) without Coraline just wandering around by herself with no one but the boring adults to talk to.

Doesn't sound like it, but I mostly enjoyed it. ^_^*
