I'm not saying you have to throw them away. I'm just saying that in the end it's your decision. Whether you keep the thing or chuck it out, the memories are going to be there. It's human behavior to associate a memory with an item, but the truth of the matter is that the item is just an item.

Keep it, dude. It probably sucks that stuff in it makes you feel like garbage, but you'll kick yourself in the ass if you toss it. When you're 40 and looking back on whatever the hell this is, you'll wish you still had something to hold onto and not made the lame decision to just throw it away. You can't get that stuff back, dude. Some stuff just isn't replaceable.

Just hang onto it, dude. Trust me. You'll thank yourself later for it. Be smarter than that, Barbie. Not going to side with Hanako on this one. If you don't keep something, you'll eventually forget the important stuff. People need those reminders, dude.
