Sam was somewhat uncharacteristically quippy in Red Sky At Morning. Considering it's an episode that's widely considered (even by the writers themselves) one of the weakest in the series, I'd say that some of these moments are what make the episode worthy of its existence ( Read more... )

I think this one pretty much speaks for itself -

Sam-ism #8 is Playthings' "Dude! You're not gonna poke her with a stick!"

I couldn't tell you why I love this scene so much, but I really really do. Poor Sam was riddled with guilt and plagued with nightmares for so long after Jessica's death, but for a while he refused to tell Dean anything about it. Okay, so there's nothing particularly original about this particular line, yet I still consider it one of the best Sam-isms ever. Why? Because few things in this world are as adorable as flustered-and-painfully-awkward Sam. ;)

I don't know about you guys, but some of my fave Sam moments ever are the times when Sam objects to being called "Sammy."
