T'was lovely to see you writing again! I loved it - Cassie is fab isn't she, and I can totally see them all pratting around with the hats and stuff. I liked the mistaken shopkeeper bit, where she thought they were a family. *shnuggles ship*

Eeeeeee!!!!!!! This is fabulous, hon!!! And I don't think it smacks of rustiness at all--you've still got these characters down, plus your nice comic rhythm (which is something I'm always envious of!). And I love the moment when Cassie goes quiet and asks them to tell her if Jack is dead--perfect!!!

And I'm also going to imagine that Teal'c was hanging out with Sam while all of this was going on, maybe just sitting there while she worked, lending his strength. ;)

This is a series? Where's the rest? (Love Comes Softly is the first in a book series by Janette Oke...is that where you got the title?)
