I'm still looking for volunteers for the 2012 MEFAs. If you haven't volunteered and want to help out, I'd certainly appreciate the hand! Let me know now and I can help get you ready to pitch in.

I would be willing to volunteer for the ratings panel.

Having chosen to have one of my own stories checked by such a panel before accepting the nomination in the past (it was fine), and knowing of one which was deemed unacceptable just before last year's MEFAs finished, so all the reviews were discounted, I think it is a good idea to have them routinely checked first.

And to do this we need raters, so... my hand is up!

Thanks, curiouswombat. I do want to avoid that situation in the future, and as you say we need volunteers to make that happen. I'll be emailing you and the other ratings panel in a few days to get everyone on the same page.
