Another little house for a stealth 'hood family: The Picasos.

No CC, and it costs just below §35 000.

Yes, this would be about the same style as the house the Gavigans live in. Very nice and simple layout. And all that green - it always gives such a warm and welcoming impression. I like the deserty style of your latest houses? Are they all in Strangetown? I guess you must have written something about that, but I seem to have done a little sloppy reading. ;)

The Picasos are one of the few simbin families to have made into my RBH. With one bolt between them, my guess is that their marriage sadly enough won't last and that they will find more suitable partners among those sims that still are teenagers. They are moved in, but unplayed and awaiting a cue to enter the scene.

Thank you. :) It was fun to play with colours I don't normally use. Blue is my favourite colour, so I often end up using that when I decorate sim houses.

These houses are not in Strangetown, but in a custom 'hood named Viper Canyon, very unoriginally named after the ingame terrain template I used. I haven't mentioned that explicitly anywhere though, so you didn't miss anything.

I like the Picasos, but yeah, it bugs me that they only have one bolt. If they're such "soul mates" as their description says, why aren't they more into each other? Oh well. Maybe it can be worked on with the turn ons/offs.

If you use the default stealth 'hood templates, I should warn you that Jessica has a broken face template that she will pass on to her children. There's information about how to fix her and a fixed download available under this tag. (Actually Jessica's download is on strange_tomato's journal, but there should be a link in there somewhere.)

I really like the retro quirkyness of it, and how you've furnished the house to suit their personalities and wishes. I think the bedroom and bathroom are my favourites! I always hated those tiles you've used in the bathroom, but you make them work so well. I'm amazed.

Thank you. :D I was worried the retro look wouldn't work out. I made the Picasos a very retro apartment once before, but then I had all my nice CC to go along with it...

I didn't even know those tiles in the bathroom existed until I built this house, hah.

Gorgeous decorating! Such an interesting choice of colors and I never would have thought orange and red can look so good together! It's very retro indeed, and I love it. :)

It seems like it's right out of the 60s/70s. I am in love with retro stuff! (history major, ftw!).

The earthy tones are great. I really like your colour coordination, you always seem to put all the right shades and tones together.

Thank you! :) I like retro stuff too. I don't think I'd want quite such bold colours in my own house, though, but it's a lot of fun to play with. :)
