The Holiday Inn - Community Lot

Nov 16, 2011 23:17

So, I suddenly had this crazy idea for a community lot... It's November, and we're right inbetween my two favourite holidays, Halloween and Christmas. I have all this Halloween and Christmas themed content for TS2 that I rarely/never get to use because my sims generally don't celebrate holidays. Therefore, I figured, what if I used it all in a ( Read more... )

I love the little dining rooms, they're just so adorable! :) What a great use of Christmasy and Halloweeny decorations! :)

Thank you. :) I'm quite fond of the green dining room, it was interesting trying to avoid using any red stuff in it.

It's a pretty crazy lot and I was questioning whether I should be doing it or not several times while working on it. It looks a bit silly in the middle of the 'hood there, but oh well. It was fun. :)

I think it looks lovely! :) I wish Sims appreciated Christmas as much as we do! :)

Thank you. ^^ Christmas celebration should be a more automatic thing in the game (that you could turn on and off), I think. My main problem is that I'm always rotating several households, and while it's fun to set up Christmas in one or maybe two houses, it'd get old pretty quickly if I tried to do it for too many of them!

Is it imperative that you have the holiday SP? Because, if it isn't, I would LOVE this lot, jsyk.

It will probably still work without the Holiday SP, but quite a lot of the objects I used are from it (in fact, I went out of my way to include as many as possible of them), so it would be lacking a lot of stuff.

This is so awesome. I would have no use for it, but it's really nifty!

Hee. I'm not sure I have much use for it myself, but it was fun to build. I'm glad you like it. :)

This really is quite adorable. I like both themes a lot! Really like those extra private dining rooms that you decorated to look like cabins. Such a neat idea and it turned out looking really good.

It looks like a really fun lot to play with. :)

Thank you! :) I struggled with those dining rooms, I had the idea in my head all along but I wasn't sure how to make it work, especially with the castle windows and all. I'm happy they turned out pretty good in the end. :)

I'll have to send a bigger group of sims there and see how it goes. :)
