Sims ADHD strikes again...

Oct 21, 2011 08:47

So I mostly finished fixed-dead-Pleasantview, meaning all dead sims are now resurrectable, and I also fixed Skip Broke's eyes (they're dark blue as they should be), and made Darleen Dreamer and Michael Bachelor less straight-template-y (Michael is skellington7d's version), although I don't think the changes on their faces show up unless you resurrect them and ( Read more... )

progress, ts3, clean premade neighbourhoods, sims adhd, fixed dead

The sims 3 pets is a huge temptation for me, also. I wasn't very interested in the game before, and I don't even have it, but now I'd like to give it a try!
Currently I have your megahood in my game but my bacc is absorbing all my gameplay time, so I still have to load it once, mmo are always fun, but I have always little time to spend on the sims :( . If you'll release a new version, well, I will be pleased to try it!

The animals look really awesome. Especially the horses. And I'm not even a horse person.

I know what you mean, I always feel like I have too little time to do all the cool things I want to do with my game... And then when I do spend a few hours on the game, I feel like I'm wasting my time. While I was sick last week I was considering dropping the game altogether, but of course, when I was well I once again felt like playing. :P

I'm not making a new uberhood for download, by the way, I just meant I wanted to build myself a new one in my game from my templates. But I'm doing some updates to the base game 'hoods to make the dead sims resurrectable, mostly for my own game (I can't guarantee compatibility with all EPS and such), because I'm a perfectionist and I want to be able to make graves for them.

Please don't leave Riverblossom Hills before you've told us about what's going on with Patricia.
I know the feeling though, I've started Pleasantview over about 7 times and Riverblossom Hills 3 or 4. That's why I chose to make a story about them. It worked with RBH, I can't imagine to start all over from the beginning now, and I hope it will be the same with Pleasantview.
Pets made me _almost_ want to play S3, but just almost. ;-) I'll stick with S2.

I have a half-finished post about Patricia (and Cleo), I'll try to finish that tonight. Who knows, maybe it'll make me feel inspired again! I can hope. But when I started the game last night it just.. felt like a chore to start playing any of the families.

I have no idea how many times I've started things over anymore. I think the longest running 'hood I've had was a BACC that I played for almost a year, but by the time all the careers were unlocked and such, I got bored. I think the traditional gamer inside me needs some sort of challenge to work with. Once it settles into 'play every family in a rotation' without any clear goal, I lose interest. Plus I keep having all these ideas about how to make NEW AND BETTER 'hoods, heh. Perfectionism is annoying.

I'm envious that you've grown so attached to your Riverblossom Hills. I really wish I could stay attached to one 'hood like that. :)

I wish there was a way to bring the TS3 Pets EP into TS2. :P

I thought the Riverblossom hood was just supposed to be an uber hood, but you played one neighbourhood at a time. I'd say just add a new sub hood and play it for a bit. Then you can go back to the RBH in progress later if you want.

I know how you feel, though. I have at least 5 different über hoods on the go, just because I want to do so many different things with all the premades.

Anyway, good luck in all your sim endeavors!

Not necessarily a full uberhood, but yes, sort of. I did attach Veronaville to it (and Academie Le Tour). It's not so much that there's anything wrong with what I'm currently doing, I think, it's just that I keep craving new things. I do love starting fresh. But maybe I'll get over this and keep playing. I dunno.

Thanks, though. :) Glad I'm not alone in having too many ideas, haha.

Lol, glad it's not just me! I especially do that when I try to start new BACCs or legacies. Play for one day, maybe two, and then lose interest.

I'm itching to play Pleasantview and Strangetown now, too... and Belladonna Cove as well... And I also want to do over my Downloads folder, and and... I think I have some sort of disease, seriously.

It's fun, but it's a lot of work. I started over my downloads not all that long ago, but now I want to again. It has to be organized BETTER.

A disease, like I said... :p

I'm hearing the siren song of TS3's pets, too. But I need to see more pics and hear the good/bad/ugly of it before I'd get sucked back into any sims game. (just thinking about how much effort I put into making TS2 run well and how I worried over back ups and download folder and. . .blah, I just don't know if I can do that again).

Oh yes, I'm also really dreading spending lots and lots of time making the game behave, installing mods, making backups... especially because I keep hearing horror stories of corrupted 'hoods in my friends list. Plus, there's also the Pudding Factor to be considered. Even if I'd enjoy the pets, would I be able to enjoy the sims?
