New Uberhoodia: Downtown Community Lots Makeovers 1: Shops

Been a while since I posted Uberhood stuff. I keep meaning to, but when I'm in a simming mood playing the game usually is my priority. :P Ingame I've played through Desiderata Valley, Downtown, Veronaville and Strangetown and I'm currently playing La Fiesta Tech, so my updates are quite behind

Thank you! :) I think that's my favourite shot as well. The view from the higher stories of that building is pretty awesome. I've never had buildings that tall before.

That is indeed a great idea to make that several stories shopping centre :) I guess I should give makeovers to downtown lot's too, I'm just afraid that after I enter the first one I'd want to quit. :P

Hah. It's pretty overwhelming, and I spent a lot of time making over all of them, but it's a lot of fun too, I think... To see which have good, basic ideas, and which are just terrible. Hans' Trap Door Corp + one night club (Midnight Flows) are the only ones I completely changed.

Have you ever considered sharing an uberhood with your edits in it? I think that'd be a cool option for people to download.

If nothing else, I'd love to switch out the default Hans' Trap Door Corp with your version in my game.

Yes, I second this! Your Hans' Trap Door Corp is way better than the original, I'd love to have it in my game too!

I would love it as well, but it looks like it uses stuff from stuff packs, which I have none of. Would you mind telling me what expansions/stuff packs you used for it?

I don't often visit Downtown and from the before pictures it's rather clear why! I love what you've done with all the lots, but in terms of improvement my favourite has to be the Grocery Store.

Thank you. :) The outside of the gorcery store is definitely better - I don't really understand all those unnecessary second floors in various lots downtown that don't DO anything. The inside isn't really that different, it's mostly small things, but most of the downtown lots lighting isn't "on" from before. When I place new lights, they're lit up by default, which makes the interior look a lot brighter and better.
