Fixing broken faces: Joshua & Martin Ruben

Oct 13, 2010 19:38

I've been working on recreating the faces of the Ruben brothers from SSU today. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, please read this postI think I did a pretty good job with Joshua (who was by far the easiest one, his face isn't too different from template 25), and as far as I can see, my version is virtually identical to EAxis ( Read more... )

I played with these brothers 2 weeks ago....I never thought their faces were "broken". Sorry meetme but, I could not find any differences :(

Yeah, you don't notice the brokenness until they have children who look like Mr. Spock, or they age up.

It's all right, the differences are very subtle. I can see them, but I'm not sure how to fix them. D:

Follow the instructions in this comment and the posts/tutorials it links to. :)

I'd recommend waiting until we've got them all finished, though!

On Joshua, too? What are they? Besides Martin's cheeks.

Hm. When I switch back and forth between the screenshots, I see a very slight difference in the brow and upper cheek, but it's very, very small. Nose bridge seems to be fine. I think I'm gonna leave it as is, otherwise I might end up making it worse instead of better. It's going to be completely unnoticeable unless you have two identical pictures next to each other like this, anyway. :)

Joshua seems perfect to me.

The only thing I see on Martin is the cheek/jaw area. In the second pic it looks like you might need to lower his cheekbones.

I was going to upload my Jessica Picaso, too, since I hit a wall with her. I'll try to remember to do that later.

Martin's nose, eyes and mouth were almost exactly the same as Joshua's, so that was easy. Eyebrows were just a bit thicker. I was fiddling with the cheeks and jaw for so long, though. It's difficult. D: I'll give it another try soon.

Looking forward to seeing your Jessica. Maybe I can offer some help.

I think Violet might be a challenge, since she can't be based off a whole template. Maybe we could just see which features change on the adult life stage, and set those to the default elf features and go from there.
