Pleasantview house makeovers 2

Sep 05, 2010 08:25

More house makeovers. This time the trailers, the Dreamer house and... I believe it's 190 Main Street? I changed all the numbering around and also moved some of the houses, so I don't remember. A lot of people consider it the "Burb" house. (Not me, though, that would be the... something Woodland Drive. You know the one.)

Stuff under cut )

old stuff, broke, pleasantview, makeovers, dreamer

They look pretty good. I usually do something similar with the Broke house - remove all the expensive stuff from Brandi's bedroom plus get rid of the pool and give them an extra room for when the baby comes.

I usually move the Burbs into one of the houses rather than into one of the Woodland Drive trailers. There is a blue house (I think it's blue...) that I usually refurbish because it has a terrible layout inside but scrubs up quite nicely and gives the family room to grow.

So many people are posting these cute/epic makeovers I really want to do some of my own.

Thanks. Yeah, I move the Burbs into a house as well, but it's on the Woodland Drive street... It's originally a sort of beige colour and has a two story window in the front and a mysterious two tile "hole" inside of it that I always get rid of.

Makeovers are fun. Dooo eeet... you know you want to. :)

That's the one! I move them into the beige 2 storey with the weird hole in the middle! It starts out with 2 or 3 bedrooms and I normally rip out most of the walls and make a totally new interior layout. Sans giant hole of weirdness.

I'm actually really useless today because my hip has gone kablooei. I have put in my non-clean templates and am contemplating putting in my combo Pleasantview + Strangetown (I made it a while back, months and months ago) and starting on an all new set of makeovers. I'm also going to put in all the bin families, including the hideousness that is the Ottomas clan, and then play everyone in rotation. I just don't know which household I should start with.

Ideas? (keeping in mind I will have all the bin families + P'view + Strangetown) I'm going to have the P'view sims act out the scripted storylines, then bring everyone into line so all the households are at Monday 8am, and then start the "proper" rotation play.

Ah, okay. :) It's got a very blue bedroom, that's maybe why you remembered it as blue. I moved the Burbs into it the very first time I played Pleasantview and it's just been "their" house ever since.

Ow, poor hip. :( Good excuse for some simming, though. Heheh, I adore the Ottomi, they're a lot of fun to play and the ugly has a certain charm.

I like starting with the Burbs or Brokes when I play PV... Probably because they're some of my favourite families, and I like playing small, poor households. :P Also, it allows Beau to grow up so he can interact with other children.

In my little PV/ST combo I'm trying to play by wants, and accepting all the community lot requesting phone calls, since the loading times aren't so bad in this 'hood (the uberhood is sloooooow...) and it allows sims to meet each other autonomously. I want them to find their own mates, no marrying unless they want to, ACR-woohoo/babies only, etc. More pure gameplay and less of me deciding all the details. We'll see how it goes.

Lol, that's actually the house I've moved the Burbs into, but I might move them into one of the more expensive houses later. The weird-empty-space house is where Marsha Bruenig and her boyfriend live.

That said, I should really try my hand at redecorating these houses. Sooo tacky.

Heheh, my SO read that as you making Marsha Bruenig and her boyfriend live IN that hole (since people seem to not like her very much).

Well, she wouldn't be able to call anyone from in that hole >.> No, I actually got rid of the hole and filled it in. (But I suppose I should probably check to see if there's any roof above where it was.)

Great work with the houses. Both Broke and Dreamer homes make a lot more sense now. Very small fixes, but a huge improvement.

I always move my Burb to a small, one story, house that's right in front of the park (dunno the address, tho). It doesn't give space to grow inside, but they sacrifice space for location, :P and I tend to think that Jennifer doesn't really want to have more children, regardless of how her husband feels about it. (so if they do have another, it's only by accident! ROFL)

Thanks. :) I tried to keep the "feel" of both houses, with the Broke trailer having really tacky decor, and the Dreamer house looking a little like it hasn't really been upgraded too much since the 70s, because Darren's too busy painting and/or mourning.

That's the house I move them into, too! Hah, many different descriptions for the same house in these comments, it seems. I'll post my makeover of it next.

I too think that Jennifer doesn't really want any more babies, but it's just too tempting. The first time I played them they had five kids (including Lucy), four girls and one boy. So I can't resist breeding them at least a little, even if they just make perfect face #1/#2 babies. :P I tend to give them all four letter names that start with L and end in a vowel, too. I like the Burbs. >_>

You have popped my brain with AWESOME. Would you mind terribly if I used these redesigns in my game? That Broke trailer redesign solves SO many problems I have with the place.

Thank you. ^^ No, I don't mind, please feel free. :) It really does help a lot to add another bedroom, instead of Brandi having all that dead space.
