I absolutely loved this! It's nicely tied into the stories of other Riverblossom Hills residents without being confusing, and represents the central characters's personalities and experiences really well even over a small period of time.

Thank you! :) I was trying very hard to come up with a way of presenting the other characters without sounding like I was writing a summary of stuff everyone already knows. It's mainly an Ottomas story, but all the other residents will play a part in some way.

I normally just lurk on your journal, but I love this so much that I just had to post.

Riverblossom Hills has always been one of, or my favorite neighborhoods, and I love your spin on it. The characters are exactly as I see them, and everything is realistic yet elegantly written.

I triggered a delurk! That's always a great compliment, I think. :)

Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm glad you share my view of the characters. Riverblossom Hills is a good neighbourhood with a lot of potential, and I'd love to see more stories about it.

I actually said "aww, kisses" as I was reading that part (yes, I'm that big of a dork).

Love the way you showed off the rest of the neighborhood via gossip. When David mentioned going to the horny cougar womens' house I was afraid of what exactly he learned (glad he escaped unmolested). The "your aunt is not a side show" line cracked me up, too (you write good dialogue, which I really appreciate).

Heehee. Right in time for Valentine's Day, too.

Hah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who find the Viejo/Goldstein/Martin household to be a little... out of the ordinary. Especially with both women lusting after Leod McGreggor... and the face makeup they have on make them look like they're 120 years old, too. EAxis have dirty minds!

I really appreciate your compliment about my dialogue. :) I do try very hard to make them say things that sound like something actual humans would say, not all forced and awkward. I think that's one of the hardest things about writing sometimes.

"120 years old" *snerk* They have face makeup like the Bigfoot face makeup! Now I want to put that Bigfoot beard on one of them. (DAMN, there needs to be more facial hair options for women!)

With dialogue it's not just the words being said but the punctuation and the description of how it's being said, too. When I'm writing dialogue I'm always saying it outloud and kind of acting it out. (and yes, it's embarrassing when your spouse catches you talking to yourself--though by this point you'd think he'd be used to it but. . .)

Hm, I guess it is like the Bigfoot makeup! You know, I still haven't played a Bigfoot. Or a werewolf. I'll get around to it... someday!

I think there should be stubble for sim women. It'd look good on an Ottomas.

Speaking of which, I just played the Ottomi and Samantha had her twins. Girls! (Well, first they were boys, but I really wanted at least one girl this time so I reloaded.) I aged them up to adult just to have a peek, and they sure are interesting-looking. I'm glad one of them got more of Samantha's looks this time, usually they all get Peter's eyes, which is what makes them look really scary.

Heheh, maybe I should try acting out the dialogue too. I don't think I could possibly do it with my SO in the house though. I don't really quite like having him in the same room when I'm just writing. :P

Oooo, I love it :D Don't remember if I said so earlier, but I love your spin on RBH! I've always liked the sims there, I just haven't been able to spin a comprehensive (?) story around them - this was great!

Thank you! :)

RBH is pretty cool and I've wanted to do more with them for some time, too. (There really is so much I want to do, but there's only so much there's time for... so one thing at a time, I guess.)

This is the greatest journal I've seen yet! I've never thought about David being with Jules!

Aw, well, thank you! :) I think Jules and David make a good couple. They only have one bolt at the moment, though. :( I could probably fiddle with the turn on/turn offs to fix that...
