Uberhood - Downtown - The Traveller Family

Jan 23, 2010 10:59

Last of the "old" ingame pictures! After this, we started using Fraps to take them.

The Traveller family aren't going to be able to live up to their name, since the vacations mostly bore us. So we figure they finished their travels, and moved back to the city...

I really like your Traveller and that idea you have to move them to the city "after a long period of traveling" :P

Their house is from Downtown? It's cute!

Oh, and what a surprise, I didn't expect such a behavior from Mr. Picaso and Mrs. Traveller - You naughty boys!!! :P

Thank you. :)

Yeah, it's one of the houses in the "middle". It's pretty good, overall.

Heehee, they did it (mostly) all on their own, too. I love ACR.

My Travellers are in the city too. It's seems to suit them (and it's funny when they wander around town in their tourist gear, because I haven't changed them. :P).

I'm pretty sure that children can adopt strays. I've done it before. Are you sure the relationship was high enough? It has to be a little higher than friendship, I think.

LOL at Mrs. Crumplebottom. She's probably pissed because she had to frog half of her WIP (Knitters parlance, FTW!). Also, if that's wool, it probably smells like a wet dog in the rain, and weighs a tonne, which doesn't help.

Yeah, I think their description says something about leaving the city to travel the world, so I see it as them returning home, more or less. Hah, they do look pretty ridiculous in their tourist clothes. Trent seems like such a jerk with the way he looks initially. I'm not sure why, usually I don't tend to actually dislike any sims, but something about him rubs me the wrong way. :P But I like him better after the makeover... and him getting hit by lightning. Poor guy. Heheh.

Hm, yeah, it probably just wasn't high enough. I got Dina and Nina Caliente to adopt a couple of elderly strays today and it had to get up to 60-65 before they had the option to adopt.

Haha, I'm imagining her walking around with a heavy, soggy whatever-it-is-she's-knitting into various clubs and such now, dripping all over the floor, and then sitting down at the bar and having several drinks.

Hmm, the Traveller's have wandering eyes (and bio-hazard boobies, from the looks of it!).

Big shocker (sorry Trent!--will that make his book?) Brandi Broke talks about babies. She seems the type to have only one topic of discussion.

If Trent is so keen on aliens, I say he pays them a visit!

*snickers* Well, I have to censor those shocking nippleless pixelboobs somehow so the Photobucket Morality Police don't take my pictures away. So I use stickers from Photobucket's 'edit picture' option.

Heheh. Well, she doesn't have much else going on in her life. Trent has two bolts for her, too, but in the last megahood they had a rather hideous baby together so I don't want to inflict that upon her again.

A Trent-alien baby is a pretty tempting idea though... he IS a Knowledge sim and can get the 'summon aliens' benefit.

The Travellers are one of the Maxis couples with no chemistry. And to me they don't have much in common otherwise either, so they almost invariably break up in my game.

And like madame suggested above, Trent definitely needs to meet the aliens.

Yeah, they really don't fit together. I'm hoping they will steal away a spouse each from the other low-chemistry stealh-hood couples.

Trent meeting aliens definitely is a fun idea. :)
