For what it's worth, I like the Kat and Kim households. Kat does seen suited to Pleasantview, too (I think she'd hit it off with the Oldies for some reason). The Kims could work well in Strangetown, too (except they do have a grassy lot--but the house is weird like many of the buildings in strangetown).
I like funky townie genetics. It does keep things fun (I'm really enjoying it in my BACC hood, with kids getting hair colors I wasn't expecting).
Tara and the Oldies. Hee, yeah, they could share gardening tips and have tea. I bet Coral would love the cats, too.
I was thinking Strangetown for the Kims as well, but the green grass just sort of ruins PT9's awesome landscaping skills and how completely out of place they look.
Yeah, I think I'll definitely keep the odd townie genetics, or maybe give them some recessive genes like strange_tomato suggests, it's a good compromise.
I've had Tara Kat in both Pleasantview (I agree it makes sense) and Bluewater Village. I tend to place a lot of the EP sims in Bluewater, since they're EP specific and not hood specific (I don't feel that the Ottomases below in Riverblossom Hills, for example).
I've always placed the Kims in the downtown hood, aka Sim City (as an aside, do you know how to change the name? I'd love to do it).
I've always liked the fact that the townies "dye" their hair, even though it doesn't make sense, what with the eyebrows matching and all. If I had to make a choice, though, I go with black genetic hair for Kaylynn rather than blond for both her genes and her expressed traits. Maybe black with a blond recessive? That would work for me.
Oh, but what's wrong with hair dye as genetics? :P
I rather like the Ottomi in Riverblossom Hills, but they could go almost anywhere, I think. They're good like that. I've had Tara in Riverblossom Hills before, too, since her house has a farm/wood feel to it. I think it would go well near that little wood shack in Pleasantview
( ... )
Oh, but you can't put it near the hidden little shack. It's all isolated and stuff! :p I love the hidden lots. They have so many stories to tell. That one in Belladonna Cove is just so witchy.
That's what I was thinking with the Kims. They seem very cultured. They might also work in BC, now that I think about it.
I'll poke around. I've always wanted to see Sim City there instead. I thought the game designers missed out on an obvious wink-wink-nudge-nudge there, and they also mention Sim City in chance cards all the time, so it only makes sense to have one, I think.
The Bluewater townies don't have matching eyebrows? I never knew. I'll have to check it out.
