It was indeed the love of plaid pants. :) No one else understands their unique fashion sense.
I did fiddle around to make Marsha an adoptable orphan. Using Inge's teleporter bush, I teleported her onto the lot, moved her in, then used 'put up for adoption' to put her in the adoption pool. Then she became first choice for a proper adoption.
I don't really like that the game just generates a kid for adoption when there's townie kids right there, in need of a home! So yeah, in the event that someone wants a younger kid I'll probably just age a townie kid or two down to toddler (babies are largely useless anyway).
Oh, they are so cute together! I never would have thought of hooking them up, but the plaid shorts boys are just adorable as a couple. And I'm sure Marsha will be the ultimate "daddy's girl" with TWO daddies to wrap around her little fingers.
I can't remember how the idea of hooking Ben and Goopy came up, but it did have to do with the plaid shorts for sure. They match so well. :D I bet they shop for clothes at the same store, must be where they met.
Marsha will manipulate them lots, especially once she's a teen...
Yeah, Marsha's a bit of a stalker. If a controllable sim brings her home from school, she'll be calling every day and coming around. She's like a cockroach.

I didn't know the social worker brought townie kids like that. Is that how the game works or did you do something special to make it happen?

And Marsha is pretty awesome, actually. She was adopted into one of my families too and is an elder now :)

Love that Marsha's an orphan. That explains why she's a stalker (poor thing just wants to be loved!).

Marsha is a stalker? It's been so long since I've had the default townies around.
