I love the way your story is developing. At first I thought, "yes, now Cassandra and Darren can get together!" and I was really surprised when Darren revealed his new love interest. I feel sorry for Cassandra but Darren and Brandi could totally be happy together and he needs that. But I'm sure she'll have an interesting time in Strangetown (nice SHWC reference there, btw). I feel even worse for poor Mary Sue, and I'll be looking forward to finding out whether or not she works things out with her idiot husband.
I was afraid I'd disappoint a few people by getting Darren together with Brandi, but it just made more sense that way. Poor Darren doesn't deserve to sit around waiting like that, when he's got three bolts with Brandi! (And only two with Cassandra.) They just seem to fit together so well, really, they're both short of money, have lost their spouse, and are raising kids alone.
Hee, glad you caught the reference. I look forward to playing her more in Strangetown, I'm actually almost caught up to how far I've played ingame now, so I'll have to get some playing hours in before updating again.
I'll be following Mary-Sue's story too, I have plans for her but I'm not quite sure how they'll play out yet... We will see. :)

I really liked the twist of Darren and Brandi pairing off. I can't wait to see Cassandra loose in Strangetown (the makeover of her apartment made me laugh--had to darken it up a bit!).
Now I'm thinking about who Cass might pair off with in Strangetown. *eyes Pascal Curious* Or is your Pascal not into girls?
This was a sad update (although Darren is happy) and you wrote it so well. But there certainly are lots of options for future happines for Cass in Strangetown.
That short hair looks good on Cass. I've always found hard to give her a makeover. I like to keep the style of the original look for a sim, but her pigtails are too girlish for a grown-up woman. I have not really been able to decide what to do with her. But a comlete makeover, like yours, seems now the best alternative.

It is hard to makeover Cassandra, I agree, but short hair really works on her, I think. I've done it before too. And I figured her usual gothy black dress would be a bit hot for Strangetown, so she got a black sundress instead (by HystericalP on MTS2). :) But the glasses have to remain the same. She's just not Cassandra without them!
