Melody's fingers were blue when she got back from posting the last of her "Rooms for Rent" signs around town, and tacking purple and gold balloons to the front of the house. She sat in the kitchen cradling a cup of coffee with tons of sugar, wondering what the new people would be like, and if they'd let her practice drums in their rooms.

So, he wandered. Everything was strange, but not exactly unsafe. The 'Rooms for Rent' signs did catch his eye, though, and he tried to determine which house they were for.
If he was going to be a teacher here, he'd probably need a place to live.
He had wandered up and down Apocalypse Avenue twice before thinking to try the one with the floaty colored balls attached to it. They reminded him of tiny versions of Ahamo's balloon.
Glitch stepped up to the door and knocked. He tried to be patient and not fidget with his coat while he waited for an answer.

"Hello." He gave a small bow, because it could never hurt to be too polite to someone while requesting lodging. "I'm Ambrose," he decided to start with the more formal name first, "but you can call me Glitch if you'd rather."
He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand as he tried to figure out how to explain his situation. "I, uhm, came to Fandom today and found out that I'll be teaching here. Since, well, since I'll be staying I was wondering if any of your rooms were still for rent?"
Glitch gave a tiny wince when he finished. It was really a very strange story.
