Helena took in a deep breath of air as she acknowledged the morning. It was time to get up out of bed. She wasn't sure just how long she had slept, but she knew it was a good sleep, one of the first she'd had since being out of the Bronze sector. She looked down and saw the reason for this: Myka Bering. Helena wouldn't be ashamed to admit that she had been carrying a flame for the beautiful agent ever since she felt their hands touch when Myka had handcuffed her to a chair in her home in London. The brunette agent stirred beside her, and Helena watched for the first time, Myka waking up. It was a sight indeed, one she never thought she would get the honor of seeing. "Good morning," Helena greeted softly. She leaned down and kissed Myka on her forehead.
"Hmm," Myka hummed.
"Sleep well?" Helena asked as she moved fingers through Myka's hair. There was a small frown on the other woman's brow before she chuckled slightly. This behavior made Helena curious, and she waited for Myka's answer.
The brunette snuggled into Helena as she said, "I... had a dream that I was Belle? And you gave me a library of books, and then Pete started singing 'Kiss the Girl' while Claudia kept singing for him to be a man, and then Artie just kept saying something about true loves first kiss as we danced in this big parlor, and I think Leena was there somewhere, but I can't remember..."
"Regret the Disney marathon?"
When things at the arehouse had made the two of them too busy to really start the relationship that was blossoming between them, Myka was determined to use the rare day off to insert Helena into the new century in which she had missed, starting with 'Snow White' and part of 'Bambi' (up until Myka couldn't watch it anymore because she'd started crying), and then when Claudia came by, 'Aladdin', 'Mulan', 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Beauty and the Beast'. Helena was in awe of these animated movies, as she was still getting used to watching moving pictures on TV, and her mind was nearly blown when Claudia announced the final movie of the night was 'Shrek'. The young woman had headed to bed not long before a dragon entered the screen, and Helena had found the movie quite enjoyable. She had wanted to speak more about the movie after it was finished as she had for the others, but she had seen that Myka had fallen asleep. Not wanting to wake the beautiful woman, she'd lifted her from the couch and taken her to bed. Sometime during this, Myka did wake up and had invited her into her room. Though they did nothing more than sleep, Helena was never happier. It was the perfect ending to the night.
"Yes," Myka said with a small laugh, bringing Helena out of her thoughts. "Although the last one was Dreamworks."
Helena smiled as she lay back into her pillows, even though she didn't know what the difference was other than the animation was done on the computer rather than by hand. She still wasn't sure if Disney was a style of animation or a company that produced it. She took in a deep breath and felt Myka place a hand on her hip. If there was nothing going on that day so far, then she was in no hurry to leave the spot she was in, with the most beautiful being she'd ever encountered lying beside her. She could face this 'Whole New World' later.
