hi hi!
hello wonderful friends! school is almost over for me now, and that's super exciting. just finish this week, then a week to study, then 3 in-class exams and a short sci-fi story (which isn't like homework at all). my sister is coming this weekend, and that's on top of ultimate frisbee finals and "theologiggle", the end of the year sketch show that makes fun of stuff. not quite ultimate caliber, but it makes me miss the space and the people at the space.
oh! i might go to the sultanate of oman (pronounced "u-mon") at the end of the semester if all goes well! nothing like a full-body burqa to celebrate the beginning of summer.
also, i am moving out of the dorms and into a house in trenton in the fall, which will (hopefully!) by my house for the next two years. hopefully i'll turn it into an intentional community, where we work towards bridging the gap between our rich-ass campus and that violent, poor city 12 miles from us. its embarassing that there's no program now, but that's going to change! yeah! doing stuff!
the house i'm looking at is kind of 4 blocks from a scary-as-heck prison, but i think it'll be okay. that just means more cops in the neighborhood! anyway, wish me luck, because my school, a christian "whenever you do these to the least of these, you do to me also" institution, is going to drag its feet on this.
but for now all i can really think about is seeing home soon! i will be definately living in westwood in a sweet apartment, so i will not be a stranger! hooray!
