I went blue when I read in the newspaper about Norovirus epidemic. I bought and made spray bottles of disinfectant to sterilize everywhere I can think of that someone might've touched. I've sprayed and wiped and poured it until I felt like my mind was the only thing that wasn't clean. It'd be great if I could drop the house into the pool of the ( Read more... )

Wheeps! I did some googling about this Norovirus too and it does sound scary..especially if you live in a crowded city. Don't think you're paranoid obsessed with hygiene as these are reasonable precautions if you ask me. It is very easy to transmitted after all.

But but does that mean you have to eat as few sashimi/fresh salads as you can to decrease the chance of infection? 0_o

(>_<) I have forbidded eating seafood until May! My family understands. So no sushi to celebrate, so sashimi for dinner :S And we won't go near restaurants or hotels (Xox) We're going really nervous about handling food. Yesterday I over-fried the chicken for lunch @_@

Oh geez, that's really bad! You know, I've seen a cooking program on a UK channel about a British chef (Rick Stein) cooking a banquet for the Japanese ambassador just 2 days ago and I was almost licking the tv screen when I saw the beautiful and tastefully looking food. (the cook went to Tokyo to get an idea what Japanese food is)

Being forbidden to eat seafood in Japan sounds like a terrible torture to me :(
But maybe you can still eat the delicious noodles/ramen or tempura food?

Hope this virus outbreak will be soon over for Japan! (I'm secretly hoping that I can go back to Japan early next year hehe)

Last night I saw a TV show where the guests devoured
fresh sushi T_T My grandma was staring at the screen Lol
Oh well we'll just have to eat noodles X)
You've been here before? I hope you'll come during Spring so it wouldn't be too cold :D And maybe stay at the inn I work at? ^^b
