I really really loved Cuddy's detachment from Lucas... that was beautifully written, perfect perfect Cuddy and I guess one roots for the dark side, it's more appealing and the Don part perfect, really magnificent adaptation (I don't have really the appropriate words!) I just liked it a lot plus "how they got to the bed..." subtle so subtle...
For a reason I liked a lot the lace/silk reference... maybe I have issues and the end just had it. I long for that! (H&C just being happy, even if just for a moment but I guess that a moment makes the difference and then they can work from it!)

House's eyes (well, HL's eyes) are so amazing, that blue really shines in the dark. I can picture it too!!!
I really, really liked Don! He was a cool guy, and he was smart enough to see how she feels about House after one date. Lucas, on the other hand, is obviously not so smart...

You're right, Lucas does know, but I think he's probably in denial. It's mean, but I kinda hope he is REALLY in love with Cuddy; she deserves to have someone be heartbroken over her, if you get what I mean? She's the only character who has not had a love story/interest, and that's silly, because if she were real she would have a million people in love with her! (Including me, lol)

And I loved the whole "normal person" repetition. Oh, that was good, and how you're bringing in her crazy father, which sort of leaks into her character as well and explains SO much.
Don definitely hit the nail on the head.

I HAD to have House say 'I love you', but I couldn't actually write him saying it; too cheesy. I'm pleased you enjoyed their little happy ending!
And yeah, bird-fragile is one of my completely made-up images, lol. I use it a lot!
Oh, I'm so happy you liked the 'normal person' stuff! This is something I feel is SO central to Cuddy's character; that she is profoundly critical of herself, and is constantly comparing herself (and ruling herself a failure) to some ridiculous standard of 'normal' that she has made up in her mind. And her father and his issues do not help this at all. I'll have to get cracking on my fic idea in which Cuddy's sister is introduced; I plan to put a lot more backstory re Cuddy Snr in that piece. He's a VERY intriguing character, and Cuddy is so terribly damaged by her quasi-relationship with him...
I loved Don. He was so, so, so great. He got it, he got her, in one date. I hope he found a really nice girlfriend, and is very happy, lol!
