EXTRA FICLET - set same time as Hero Headquarters
'Don't worry son, one of our best heroes is in there'
The robot lurched from side to side, it was rocking on it's stabalizers adjusted to the frantic movements within. The singing had been replaced with some bump and grind beat and you could almost think it was dancing.
It froze suddenly with a dramatic shudder, it's mouth opened as if to exhale but the lolling tongue was a platform from which marched a very rumpled hero.
'Was it hard?' another hero asked him, taking in his mussed hair and a livid bruise forming low on his neck.
'Very' came the very uniquivical reply, the smile accompanying it truly heroric.
The hero stepped back into headquaters and the giant robot powered down. The spotlights in the eye portals dimmed and a gust of smoke gusted up from it's mouth as though it was smoking. As they watched it saluted the crowds turned and trod carefully away. Robotic swaying hips too jaunty to be defeat.
'He's evil' sighed the hero going back to his desk slumping tiredly at his desk and fingering his bruise.
'And a genius' was muttered as the other heroes watched the departing robot disappear.
'Daddy, can I be a hero when I grow up?'
'We'll see son'
