The term 'preaching to the choir' comes to mind, for some strange reason.

If you mean me, yes absolutely ;)

If you mean Ellen, not necessarily. A nice big chunk of her viewer base are stay-at-home Moms. Most of which generally ignore or don't notice all the subtle homophobic crap their children watch, listen to, and say. I hope more of them start paying attention and talk to their kids about this stuff. Every little bit helps.

I've seen that movie before and I agree with it 100%

Killing someone because he asked you to be his valentine's is horrible.

Killing someone for ANY "reason"--other than that he's trying to kill you, which he wasn't--especialy a schoiolkid, fer chrissake--is horrible.

Why just being gay is perceived by some people as being on a par with attacking them is beyond me.

Then again, I used to teach elementary school, and the number of kids to whom I was not allowed to read Harry Potter was pretty chilling. Their parents seriously seriously were in favor of "not suffering a witch to live." Even today.

Well people can believe any intolerant biblical bullshit standards they want, but acting on them? We have modern laws against that. All we need to do is enforce them!
