Snapping pictures of scrawny limbs and toothy grins

I promised pics, so here they come! :D Man, I need to organize these more often. :P This first pic doesn't fall under any of the critter categories, I've just been meaning to post it forever. Amarin gave us these adorable "luck in love" owls for ... our anniversary? Giftmas? I forget, but omg love. The cute... it burns. They sit on our desk ( Read more... )

Wonderful pics! Your bunnies are sooooo cute. I love the bunnies around the little hay manger, and all three crammed under the willow tent ( ... )

Thanks! The bunnies always make me grin, even when they're being stinkers. ;) The hay manger was such a good idea... I think it maybe we build our own that's a bit different it could work. *eyes the nearby Lowes ( ... )

Now I'm just chuckling picturing snake photo sessions :)

The only other suggestion I can think of is that sometimes when I use my macro setting I get better control over the focus - it's like the camera is more willing to focus someplace weird. Don't know if that would work with yours or not.

Also, Dana is gorgeous!

That's how the pros do it! ;) Check this out http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=53433

I'll try that, there's a lot of stuff under the menu I should learn what it means because the focus aspect seems so random to me regardless of how I zoom. It seems happier far away, but I know I've gotten good close ups too from time to time... wee!

Thanks on Dana she really is, I wasn't fishing with the Dana icon for the record, it's also my standard thank you icon now. ;D

I like your altar. Mine's not much more than an old nightstand with a fabric remnant for a tablecloth. >_

Thank you. :) It's been a gradual development. For the longest time, our altar was a space on a bookshelf. The important thing, though, is that it serves it's purpose as a sacred space.

Yay for critter pics!!! And your descriptions are always perfect! hee!
I love your little stinkers so much! Especially love the one of them checking out the new hay tray and the one of the 3 of them cuddling under the willow tent. ;)

I hope when I have bunnies again that they will get along as well as your 3 do!

Hehe, thank you, I love our little stinkers as well! I'd better! ;D

We really lucked out with Unut, I think it helped that he was a baby. The easiest way to go, I think, is to adopt already bonded pairs. Like these cuties! http://www.bhrabbitrescue.org/adoptables/adopt.htm#multiples

For sure on the bonded pairs. omg so cute, I want to take all of them home!
Did you get Daphne and Bowie at the same time?

No, we lucked out there too! Daphne was a rescue from a neighbor who was keeping her and her sister outside in a little plastic "starter" cage on the apt porch. This is a cat infested neighborhood too. She got rid of Daphne's sister to whom she was bonded before I talked to the lady, but she gladly handed Daphne over wanting to get rid of her because she wasn't a "true dwarf".

She was a really depressed little bunny for a while as we worked with her (I intended to look for a home for her, and we fell in love, lol) and we realized she was lonely and missed her sister, so we took her to the rescue I linked to for a date. Here's a picture story to how Bowie came to be with us! :) Love at first sight.

Ma-tsu is such a sweetheart <3 I could go on and on about the adorableness of serpenthood! I can't wait to start breeding them and be surrounded by even more adorable baby snakes!

I'm all about spreading the snake love. So many folks are scared of them, yet so many are harmless and darling. :) I even wrote a whole FAQ about snakes to help people get over their fears and misconceptions! http://www.bluegorgon.com/FAQ.htm
