I wish a judge would run for president. Mostly because they at least have some practice in separating their personal beliefs with the law

That is something that I find dissapointing too. I honestly wonder if both Hillary and Barak are trying so hard to maybe pull some moderates and some republicans who are tired of Bush and his ways, that they're afraid of alienating them by saying "Yes, gay marriage is ok." Either that, or despite their being liberal, their liberal like our parents' generation might be liberal as opposed to how our generation is liberal. (I hope that made sense.)

And as far as hiding behind Christianity, that's a load of bollox. It's popular politally to be Christian right now. And unfortunately, I think Barak might be so intent to come out and say that he's Christian, just so that people know. (Because his father was Muslim and his name is very obviously foriegn.) I think he wants people to think "Hey, he's just like us." Which kinda sucks but unfortunately it's something politicians have to do.

And honestly, I think Jesus woulda been ok with gay marriage.

No, that totally made sense. And yes, totally bollox. :/ It sucks that instead of educating people the focus is on kissing butt and playing along all the time. Politics stink, so I'm doing my level best not to dwell on them too much.

Yeah. It's funny 'cause I feel like I'm a moderate liberal, probably by comparison to my former roommate who was extremely liberal. But then I talk to my mom (who says she's a democrat...) and I feel incredibly liberal in comparisson. I guess it just depends on who ya talk to.
