Try to find peace of mind, I say

So, erm... Amarin's car was stolen. Again. So we are all car-less. I'd be more shocked and appalled but... this is Phoenix. Car theft is our chief... export? Import? Something. So bleh. The cops suggested moving. Well, we're working on it! We'll see if the car shows up again within a few days. Yeash. I'm pretty sure it will, it did last ( Read more... )

hah! yes - hinduism was a glorious place to land after mormonism and a brief flirtation with wiccanism and druidism. i'm not fully hindu, by any means, and i still have a soft spot for druidism and a couple of celtic deities, but following shiva has been wonderful, and i love the way so many things can fall under 'worship'.

Hee, you're head of me! :) Grew up Mormon, flirted with Wicca, Druidism, Shamanism and Buddhism- have connect the most with Totemism and still do- and here I am now entranced by Hinduism which it took me years to feel ready to even explore. Shiva, especially as Ardhanarishvara, really really speaks to me. Followed closely by Sarasvati. It's all so complex and simple at the same time. Non-duality in action I suppose! It really makes a lot of sense to me. :) I'm not comfortable calling myself a true Hindu at this point either, but I'm not ruling out the possibility. If nothing else, it's much closer to what I am than anything I've ever come across! Aside from Agnostic that is. ;)

The cops' advice was to move? What lovely and sensitive people we have joining our police force.

Well, I can't really blame them. Last time Amarin's car was stolen, she just flagged down a cop that was already in the complex about another stolen vehical instead of calling. They're just tired of coming over here. :P

I guess they're tired of hearing reports of stolen cars from all over..isn't the Phoenix area #1 in the country for car thefts?

And they did get back my car when it was stolen last year--full of fingerprinting powder on the steering wheel and the mirror. And they didn't find the little note in the back seat with some strange cell phone number written on it (I called them up about that)...

Yup. All about the car theft here. And the last on education, I think. We're at the top of all the bad lists and the bottom of all the good ones. :P SO moving...

They got back Amarin's car last time too, joy riders. They found it again today, and it's impounded, so we're gonna go find out if it still works or not. Weee...
