This was beautifully written. I love the wording and your choice of style. Both thought-provoking yet abrupt and cool - you've captured Itachi's seemingly deceptive detachment and Madara's loftiness with a side of covetuous greed prettily. Very, very nicely written!

I definitely agree--you caught Itachi's heightened self-control as he reported back to Madara. It has that restraint and deception that Itachi has. :D

Itachi's gaze remains fixed on the clouds that cry so copiously when he cannot. "He wasn't worth killing." One of my favorite lines in the fic!
