[Don't mind her. She's going to walk right past you, looking at a crudely drawn map, several books in her arms. There's Sebbi and Demyx scent all over them. She doesn't notice you, Zexion, but instead turns down an isle of bookshelves. Some color muttering. Wrong isle. So very lost.] I don't see why they couldn't return these themselves. I went through a lot of trouble restoring them so they could study or whatever and then it's dumped on me to return them? [Sighing] I have no idea where these are supposed to go. This map is no help. [Standing there, staring passively down one of the isles as if she expects it to tell her where the books should go. Care to help her out?]

[If he's paying attention, he can probably feel the cursed book being opened. She'll open it and stand up, walking away as she begins to read it. She's shrunk, by the way. Now child sized because of the curse. Luckily, her clothes shrank with her. Still reading and walking up and down the isles. That magic is getting a little stronger as she reads.]

[He closes the book he's reading and goes to investigate. Why don't people listen to him?]

[Still shrinking. She was the size of a middle schooler a minute ago. Now she's the size of a ten year old. Still reading. Touching the pages lightly. A single tear will snake down and hit the page. She knows the person who wrote this book and the person who cursed it too. She starts talking to the book.] ...I still hate your magic, you know. I really, really do. I hate your magic. All you ever cared about was... [Sniffing. She looks so odd, cat ears and a tail, crying as a ten year old child.]

[Well it's a relief that she didn't open one of the more dangerous ones at least. But even so... He stands quietly behind her for a moment before kneeling down and putting a hand on her shouldor.]

I told you not to touch them. So of course it's the first thing you do.

[He sighs.]

[She's going to keep shrinking until the book is closed or she disappears. She could probably reverse the curse effects if she tried but she's still drained from using her magic to rescue Allen. She'll jump when he touches her shoulder, automatically hugging the book to her chest. She'll quickly wipe her tears and hold out the book to him. SHe won't apologize but ask a startling question.]

Why do you have Grandfather's book? I thought I destroyed all of these.

[He pulls his hand back. Instead of answering her question he poses his own.]

Why would you destroy them?

[Going to look away. Hugging the book tightly, as though protecting it.] They needed to be destroyed. Now why do you have this book? [Still cradling the open book. And still shrinking. She's now the size of a seven year old.]

[That's no good.] I found it in the ruins of a world that had been mostly destroyed. I don't know how it got there. But I took it back with me. [He reaches out his hand, gesturing for her to hand it over.] Now put it down. I warned you they were cursed.

[Not going to let it go.] Of course it's cursed. My mother cursed it. Can't you tell? Our magic feels so similar to me. [She'll close the book, though, which stops the shrinking process. Until she lets go, though, she's not go to go back to her original size.] If it were any other book, it would be fine, I wouldn't care if you kept it or whatever. But this one shouldn't have existed in the first place. It needs to go. [She's stubborn when it counts. It's shimmering a little in her hands. The ancient gibberish title slowly converting to English.]

[He's not happy with that. And not just because she wants to destroy it. "This one shouldn't have existed in the first place." she'd just said. He once again pulls his hand back, frowning. His tone is a bit icey.]

And so because it shouldn't exist it should be destroyed?

You don't need to know the reason it needs to be destroyed. [But she's annoyed by his icy tone.] If you want it so bad, though, have at it. [Thrusting the book into his hands.] I want nothing to do with that book or its owner. It should have stayed in that abandoned world. [Storming away angrily. The curse actually lifts from the book as she hands it to him. If he reads the title, he might understand why she's so angry. Trandformation Process: Turning Children into Books She's already half way to the door, though. Not going to listen to anything he has to say as long as he's holding it.]

[There's a suprising sting in his chest when she hurls the book into his arms. Not from the book hitting him--but from her words. It's small and he thinks he must have imagined it. He doesn't call out to her or even move, except to tighten his grip on the book. He focuses on the title. This could be the lead he needs, and she's probably too emotional over it to realize. But through learning the process of how the book was put in, maybe he can learn how to take it back out. His mind is fully distracted away from the quick jolt he'd felt a moment ago. So he doesn't notice a brief, soft thump in his chest. Just once. But all he can think is that he might have what he needs to help her.]
