Word on the street is that native american languages conceptualise the world spectacularly differently to Indo-European languages like english or Latin. Where we conceptualise everything as objects in space, and actions as forces acting on those objects, american languages conceptualise everything as processes or flows. i oftern wonder how much of an effect things like catholism has on the environment - i mean there is definatly something unhealthy about large populations of people who believe this world is nothing but a step towards a pure paradise.
words create mindsets as discussed, but like the builder(as an example) who might not be building, in our society people then create that image that builders are lazy people as opposed to the actual statement that a builder is someone that builds.
as a result: future "builders" ask the question why would they possibly always have to be building or be really productive or enthusiastic about it because builders are like that.

my point is, if we judge this world as un important, disgusting, ugly and secondary to a far off paradise. we mistreat it as such and it becomes what we say it is

That's the bit I'm most interested in..... just what we're saying it is.! And whether we're even paying attention to what we're saying it is.
