Sep 24, 2007 14:01

IT'S ALMOST TIME!!!

This will be my post which I will keep updating to include anything I find on the new group announcement. The announcement is going to take place in 20 minutes time, broadcasted live to Fuji TV from Yokohama Arena where the "Johnny's Jr Hey Say 07 in Yokohama" Concert is going on. I will be stalking Japanese blogs, forums, and everything else possible and then update this post with the latest information I find. Stay tuned xD

UPDATE 2:20PM - Announcement

HEY! SAY! Johnny's Ultra Music Power (JUMP)
is the name of the 10 person group, consisting of 2 parts:

HEY! SAY! BEST
TAKAKI Yuya, Yaotome HIKARU, INOO Kei, YABU Kota, Arioka DAIKI
(Ages: 17, 16, 17, 17, 16)

HEY! SAY! 7
Morimoto RYUTARO, CHINEN Yuuri, Nakajima YUUTO, Yamada RYOSUKE, OKAMOTO Keito
(Ages: 12, 13, 14, 14, 14)

DEBUT CD TITLE: ULTRA MUSIC POWER
DEBUT CD RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 14TH
SONG WILL BE THE THEME SONG FOR THE YEAR'S VOLLEYBALL WORLD CUP RELAY.

DEBUT CON: DECEMBER 22ND @ TOKYO DOME

There is NO WORD on whether this group is permanent or temporary, or if it's permanent, what will happen to Ya-Ya-yah/J.J. Express. However, mymemine posted that from the TV broadcast, they were introduced with mentions to V6, Arashi and NEWS (debuted groups). This, combined with the con at Tokyo Dome, seems to point that this is A PERMANENT DEBUT.

Jumping to my dream せつない この地球(ココロ)で
Fighting for my dream 太陽を抱きしめて J.U.M.P JUMP!

喜びも悲しみ 受け入れて生きる
ありのまま立ち向かえ 痛み感じても
誰でもみんなが 孤独な戦士
限りあるこの時を 君に《君に》奇跡今届けたい

Jumping to my dream せつないこの地球(ココロ)で
Fighting for my dream 太陽抱きしめて信じているんだ

蒼い蒼い地球の為 そう皆の為
あきらめないんだ
大きな奇跡起こせるさ 今こそ僕ら立ち上がろう
独りじゃないさ
その愛で 未来を J.U.M.P. J.U.M.P. JUMP!

UPDATE 25/9 12:50 - NEW INFORMATION

- It is a permanent debut
- The average age in the group is 15 years old.
- BEST in Hey! Say! BEST stands for Boys Ex-Select Team
- JUMP not only stands for Johnny's Ultra Music Power, it also means jumping high in the Heisei era where all the members are born.
- BEST is made up of all high school students, 7 all but 1 are middle schoolers, 1 elementary schooler (That'd be my bro - see, he's special :D).
- The 38th day Dome con is so that it matches the record set by Tackey and Tsubasa, to have a dome con on their 38th day of debut.
- Johnny's Kitagawa himself said that Hey! Say! BEST and Hey! Say! 7 will act like V6's subgroups Coming Century and 20th Century.
- Okamoto Keito is the first son of a Johnny's to release a CD, hence becoming the first parent-child Johnny's pair. In an interview, he said "I will try hard not to be defeated by Seniors or Father"
- V6 member Yoshihiko Inohara came out and congratulated them on stage for debuting. He also joked, using the Hey! Say! and JUMP as puns

UPDATE 25/9 6:10PM + 8:05 - MORE NEW INFORMATION

- Another confirmation in permanent debut: "After KAT-TUN's debut 1 year and 8 months ago, finally a new group debuts from Johnny's to create sensational hits in the Japanese music scene this Autumn"
- The Ex-Select in Boys Ex-Select Team (BEST) means Excellent Select
- Hey!Say!JUMP has the lowest average age in a group to debut in the company's history (15 years old)
- Hey!Say!JUMP has the most amount of members in a group to debut in the company's history (10 people)
- Morimoto Ryutaro is the youngest ever Junior to debut in the company's history (12 years and 172 days old)
- Johnny's Kitagawa said:
  - That the idea to expand Hey!Say!7 to JUMP came after the overwhelming sales of the Hey! Say! single
  - that he is overwhelmed by the "good sense of music and fast adaptation" in children born in the Heisei era
  - "The gathered members will shine if I polish them. The children of Heisei era are amazing. When the 10 are gathered together, an explosive power is born. All the members are good at singing, and they dance decently too. Being 15 years on average, they are more flexible and are able to adapt easily, so it's possible to put them on a variety of activities"
 - Referring to the Prince of Hankerchief, Yuki Saito (Famous pitcher - 19), and Ishikawa Ryu (Amateur golf player - 16), he said "Children of the Heisei era are growing steadily in in all fields, for example sportsdom. I will not let the entertainment industry to lose, so I'm putting in power to change how it is. Showa is already useless."
- In interviews:
  - Yabu Kota: "I want to be in this group which represents the Heisei era"
  - Chinen Yuuri: "I want to JUMP higher than Seniors"
  - Yaotome Hikaru: "I want to try hard so I can surpass Seniors"
  - Nakajima Yuuto: "I want to jump rapidly yet stably"
  - Okamoto Keito: "I will try my best to not lose to Seniors and Father"
- Okamoto Keito:
  - Returned from studies in England this year, and thus, is probably fluent in English. He says he hates it though.
  - When congratulated by father Okamoto Kenichi, "Oh, so you debuted, huh?", he replied "I won't lose to you"
- It is mentioned that Hey! Say! 7 will give priority to studies over activities, while Hey! Say! BEST will be less restricted in this aspect

I accidently left out one important fact: (Blame it on my computer crashing twice in a row while I was preparing this news entry)
- The Juniors who got selected into Hey! Say! JUMP knew about this three days before their debut. That means on the 21st. Everyone else knew then too, and only started rehearsing then.

UPDATE 26/9 5:05PM - DOMOTO KYOUDAI APPEARANCE

Hey!Say!JUMP has been confirmed to be appearing on KinKi Kids' Domoto Kyoudai program next week by a staff blog. They WILL be performing with the "Domoto Brothers Live Band", but it was not stated which song will they perform. It will be on  episode #310 (7th October).

UPDATE 26/9 11:10PM - ULTRA MUSIC POWER ADDED TO JOHNNYS-NET

As of now, the new Ultra Music Power single had been added to Johnny's Net. The weird thing is, despite the huge live broadcast of their debut, and having television stations and newspaper articles announcing and reaffirming their debut, and having a whole press conference where they were awarded the Hey!Say!JUMP scroll for debuting, the single is listed under Johnny's Jrs. So the question remains - Has Hey! Say! JUMP REALLY debuted or is it Hey! Say! 7 the Second?

This is OFFICIAL AND CONFIRMED. THIS IS NOT A RUMOUR.
